'Communication from the Division of Highways regarding the Special Gas tax street improvement fund, read and ordered filed. /Communication from the Beacon Hill Nursery, regarding the damage being done by the Black Acacia trees in parkway, read and referred to the Street Sup't r'innerty. 247 Communication fromthe Library Board notifying the Oity Council of the resignation to of MR.J.B.Waddell and asking the the appointment of Mr. Fred Tonge. Matter laid over until the next meeting. 'Communication fromthe War Department regarding the dredgeing to be done at the foot of Schley Street, read and ordered filed. 'City Assessor Dale Smith read the tax bill on Lot 74, Paradena Park. Ordered filed. Communication fromthe Nat'l Audit & System Go,., inc. regarding the"Standard System of Accounting", read and ordered filed. Communication from the Division of Highways regarding the placing of Pedestrian in Crosswalk signs, read and ordered filed. 'Report of the &Sty Court for the month of October, 1935, read and ordered filed. ORDINANCE NO. 641, creating Special Gas Tax Street Improvement Fund, was placed on final passage and on the motion of Warner, seconded by Thatcher, same was adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present boting aye. ORDINANCE NO. regulating and presctibing the method for presenting demands for fixed charges and compensation of officers and employees, read. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Cordingly, that the Ordinance be introduced and laid over, under the rules and qccordingt to law. Carried, all "'ouncilmen present voting aye. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease, that the proper officers be authorized to matte the following transferd: 1.300.00 from the Sp/ Del. Tax. Fund to Sinking Fund # 6. 1,462.81 from the Sp. Del. Tax. Fund to Sinking Fund # 4. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. /RESOLUTION NO. 1791, authorizing the payment of 52 interest coupons from Sinking Fund No. 6, read. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Kilcrease, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, by the following vote to wit: Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, Bird. _ Naves: " , none. Absent: " , none. RESOLUTION NO. 1792, authorizing the payment of two Bonds and interest from the Sinking Fund No. 4, read. Moved by Cordingly, 248 seconded by Kilcrease, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, by the following vote to -wit: Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, bird. Nayes: Councilmen, none. Absent: Councilmen, none. /Moved by That@her, seconded by Kilcrease, that City Attorney Isaacson be instructed to appear in behalf of the city of National City in case No. 8208 in the Superior Court of the County of San Diego, State of California entitles # A.S.Whiting Vs the City of National City." Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. /Matter of Sewer District referred to the Street Sup't agtthorizing him to employ as engineer to make diagram of district and toreport on same. .'Clouncilman Thatcher, reported for the Planning Commission. At the last meeting of the `city Planning Commission, that portion of Palm Avenue between Laurel and P Avenue, in Paradena Park, was changed to East First Street. Matter referred to the City Attorney Isaacson to prepare the proper Resolution changing the name. Miss Hidditch of the Sweetwater Union High Schoolnthanked the City Counnil on behalf of the Civics class, for the courtesy extended to them. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher, that the `'ity Council adjourn. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
