National City, California, November 19, 1935
A regular meeting of the City Council called to order by
the Mayor. Councilmen present: Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher,
Warner and Bird.
Minutes of the previous meeting of November 5, 1935, read
and approved.

allowed and warrants drawn for same. Carried by the following
vote to -wit:

audit of City Books, read and ordered filed.
Communication from Officer Harry D Smith, requesting a
leave of absence for three months, read. Moved by Warner,
seconded by Cordingly, that the request be allowed. Carried, all
Councilmen present voting aye.

'ORDINANCE NO. 642, regulating and prescribing the method
for presenting demands for fixed charges and compensation rig
officebs and employees, was placed on final passage, and on the
motion of Thatcher, seconded by Cordingly, same was ado Ft ed.
Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
RESOLUTION NO. 1793, Authorizing and directing Dale "with
to represent -the City in the l'ational Youth Administration and
approving of such certain projects as submitted by said represbnt-
ative, read._ Moved by Kilcrease, seconded by Warner, that the
Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present noting aye.
`Report of the Fire 'arshall for the month of uctober, 1935,
read and ordered filed.
• Communication from the State Compensation Insurance Fund
regarding_div&dead check for $ 223,83 earned under the policy,
read and ordered filed.
. Communication from the League of California Municipalities
regarding the Special personnel service and the has Tax projects,
read and ordered filed.
iCommunication from the War Department, regrading certain
dredging in San Liego Bay, read and ordered filed.
,/ Moved by Thatcher, sedonded by Warner, that Fred M Tonge,
be appointed to the Library Board to fill the vacancy created
by the resignation of James B Waddell. Carried, all Councilmen
present voting aye.
Communication from Louis H Burke regarding, the assessment of
Utility property by the gate Board of Equalization. Mattes of
double -assessment on certain properties, referred to the City
Assessor.
It was moved by Warner; seconded by Thatcher, that the
proper officer be authorized to make the following transfer:
17.50 from the Sp. Del. Tax. Fund to Sinking Fund No. 4.
Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
J Moved by Warner, seconded by Kilcrease, that Officer Lowell
Bullen be appointed to fill the temporary vacancy on the Police
force, during the absence of Officer Smith, at the salary of
112.50 per month; said appointment to take effect immediately.

adjourn. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
