We extend to his beloved and faithful wife and his family our sincere sympathy in their great loss. Moved by Warner, seconded by Thatcher, that the resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. 0 RESOLUTION NO. 1786, in memory of"Jimmy" Seebold, read. Moved by Thatchers oconded by Cordingly, that the resolution bd adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. 242 DRESOLUTION N0. 1Th87, amending in Certain Respects Resolution No. 1737, No. 1762 and No. 1764, /09f entitle, " Resolution Appointing Certain Officer and Amployees of the City of National City, California and fixing their compensation." read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Warner, that the resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present Voting aye. 0 Matter of re -naming of a certain petition of Palm Avenue, requested by the City Assessor, referred to the Planning Commission. Pursuant to law, the City Council proceeded toc anvass the election returns of the Special election held on September 17, 1935. The ballot boxes we're opened and the returns check-d. RESOLUTION N0. 1788, Declaring the result of the Special Consolidation Election held September 17, 1935, read. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Kilcrease, that tit resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present Voting aye. Resolution is as follows: oIt was moved by Kilcrease, seconded by Thatch r, that behalf=t the City attorney be instructed to pe,rfect an appeal i.^ f the City of National City, in the case of"Whiting vs City of National City, No. 80512, in the Superior Court, County of San "lego". Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. It was ma'ed by Warner, seconded by Thatcher, that tie City ofiNationalncity;California-in with the City of Chula Vista and the National City Annexation League , file a written objection to the appeal of the California Water and Telephone Company now before the Railroad Commission, and that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare and file same. Carried, all Councilmen present Voting aye. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcr::ase, that the Council adjourn. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
