Regular meeting of the City Council called to order by the
Mayor. Councilmen present That9her,':Waddell and Requa. Council-
man Pettit absent.
Minutes of regular meeting of March 20, 1934 and regular
adjourned meeting of March 26, 1934 read and approved.

votes of the coming election at 2:00 o'clock P. M.

RESOLUTION DT:CLARING
IRESULT OF ELECTION.
THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of National City, Cali•
fornia, finds, dhtermines, declares and resolves as follows:
1. That a General Municipal Election was held in
the said City of National City, California, on Monday, the
9th day of April, 1934, for the purpose of electing throe (3)
Councilmen, as members of the City Council, each for tho full
term of four (4) years; two (2) Counoilmen,as members of the
City Council, each for the short term of two (2) years; and a
Clerk, for the short term of two (2) years.
2. That for the purpose of such General Municipal
Election there were, established five (5) voting precincts, con-
sisting of a consolidation of the regular election precincts
established for State and County elections, as follows:
(1). Consolidated Voting Precinct "A" comprising
State and County National City Precincts Numbers Ono (1) and
Nine (9). The polling place thereof was established at L.E.
Smith's store building, located at 1224 National Avenue, in the
City of National City.
(2). Consolidated Voting Precinct "B" comprising
Stato and County National City Precincts Numbers Two (2), Three
(3) and Four (4). The polling place thereof was established at
P.E.Dewhurst'a Garage, located in rear of No. 132 East Third
Street, in the City of National City.
(3). Consolidated Voting Precinct "C" comprising
State and County National City Precincts Numbers Five (5) and
Six (6). The polling place thereof was established at Um. Fields
Garage, located at 940 East Seventh Street, in the City of
National City.
(4). Consolidated Voting Precinct "D" comprising
State and County National City Precincts Numbers Seven (7) and
Eight (8). Tho polling place thereof was established at R.B.
Reid's Garage, located in the rear of 340 East Ninth Street,
in the City of National City.
(5). Consolidated Voting Precinct "E" comprising
State and County National City Precincts Numbers Ten (10),
Eleven (11) and Twelver(12). The_polling place thereof was
established at the Olivewood Club House, located at the north-
westerly corner of the intersection of Twenty-fourth Street
and F Avenue, in the City of National City.
That the polls were kept open between the
hours of _ o'clock A.M. and
7 o'clock P.M. of said
day of election, that being the hours fixed by said Counoil for
the opening and closing of'said polls and as the same was speci-
fied in the notice of said election.
3. That all of the election officers were properly ap-
pointed and the ballots and election supplies were furnished;
and that in all respects said election was held and conducted,
the votes cast thereat received, counted, tallied and canvassed
and the returns thereof made and dDclared, all in the time, form
and manner as required by law.
4. That said Council met at their usual place of meet.
ing on this 16th day of April, 1934, at the hour of 2 o'clock
P.L]., that being the first Monday after said election, and did
canvass the returns of said election and did pursuant to and in
the manner provided by law, canvass all absent voter ballots cast
at said election;
5. That as the result of said election the number of
votes cast, the names of the persons voted for and the office to
be filled, and the number of votes cast for each person, are as
follows, to -wit:

6. That it is hereby declared that at said General
Municipal Election DAVID a. BIRD was duly elected to the office of
Councilman as a member of the City Council of the City of National
City for the full term of four (4) years;
That it is hereby declared that at said General
Municipal inaction FREDERICK J. TEATCBER was duly elected to
the office of Councilman as a member of the City Council of the
City of National City for the full term of four (4) years;
That it is hereby declared that at said General
Municipal Election BERT ITBNER was duly elected to the office
of Councilman as a member of the City Council of the City of
National City for the Phil term of four (4) years;
That it is hereby declared that at said Genera.`.
Municipal Election FRANK CORDINOLY was duly elected to the of-
fice of Councilman as a member of the City Council of the City
of National City for the short term of two (2) years;
That it is hereby declared that at said General
Municipal Election ALER KILCREASE was duly elected to the of-
fice of Councilman as a member of the City Council of the City
of National City for the short torn of two (2) years;
That it is hereby declared that at said General
Municipal Election DALE SMITH was duly elected to the office
of Clerk of the City of National City for the term of two (2)
years.
7. That the Clerk is.hereby directed to enter upon

the records of the said Council a statement of the result of
said election containing the matters required to be set forth
in said statement as provided by law.
8. That said Clerk is hereby directed to immediately
make out and deliver to each of the persons herein declared
elected a certificate of election in the manner and form re-
quired by law.
