The City Council met pursuant to law for the purpose of canvassing the returns of the General Municipal Election held April 9, 1934. Councilmen present- Pettit, Thatcher, Waddell and Requa. Minutes of regular meeting of April 3, 1934, read and approved. The City Council thereupon opened the ballot boxes and canvassed the returns. °Resolution No. 1736, Declaring the result of the General Municipal Election held April 9, 1934, wad read. Moved by Pettit, seconded by Thatcher, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Resolution as follows: The minutes were then approved. Moved by Pettit, seconded by Thatcher, that the Council adjourn, sine die. Carried. Mayor of the Cif§ of Nati CityfC&lifovnia ATTEST: 133. National City, California, April 16,193 The newly elected City Council of the City of National City, California, met immediately after the adjournment of the old Council at the City Hall. Present --Councilmen Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher and Bird, each of whom thereupon took the oath of office. Mr. Smith, the newly elected City Clerk was present and took the oath of arise, and presented to the Council his Bond in the sum of $1000.00. Moved by Kilcrease, seconded by Cordingly that Dale Smiths Bond be accepted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Cordingly that Bird be selected Glasman of the Council. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Kilcrease, that the Council adjourn.
