Regular meeting of the City Council called to order by the
Mayor. Councilmen present, Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner,
Bird.
Minutes of the regular meeting of July 17, 1934, read and
approved.

Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Kilcrease, that the bills be allowed,
and Warrants ordered drawn in accordance with the provisions in
Resolution No. 1747. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
Mrs. Ludie Wolfington was present regarding an accident at
Palm and Division Streets.
°Communication from the National City Reporter regarding
division of printing, was read and laid over until the next meeting.
0 Communication from the Democratic Club regarding a sign was
read. koved by Kilcrease, seconded by Warner, that the request be
allowed, providing that the sign be put up under the supervision
of the Fire Dept.
Moved by Warner, seconded by Cordingly, that a contract be
entered into with the Bowman Motor Co. for the purchase of two

Ford Sedans, in accordance with the rental contract and terms
submitted, and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to
execute the contract for and behalf of the City, provided that
the payments coming due before December 1, 1934 will be accepted
in accordance with the provisions in Resolution No. 1747. Carried,
by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Cordingly, Kilcrease,
Thatcher, Warner, Bird. Nays: Councilmen, none. Absent: Council-
men, none.
Moved by Warner, seconded by Thatcher, that the insurance
policy from the State Compensation Insurance Fund be accepted.
Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
tCommunication from the Mayor of San Diego, regarding the
Exposition, was read and ordered filed.
()Communication from Ed Fletcher Co. regarding Thrift Gardens,
was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease, that the
Communication be filed.
o Communication from Christian B. Keller, regarding the bus
stop by his place of business, was read. Moved b-; Cordingly,
seconded by Kilcrease, that the communication be filed.
°Communication from the Planning Commission regarding the
petition of the National City Salvage Co., was read. Moved by
Kilcrease, seconded by Thatcher, that the communication be placed
on file.
Application from Sunset Pacific 0i1 Co. regarding extension
of permit for wharf, was read. Matter was referred to Councilman
Thatcher.
° Report of City Court for month of July 1934, was presented
and ordered filed.
Time report of the Fire Dept. for the month of July, 1934,
was presented and ordered filed.
&Report of Fire Marshall's Office for month of July 1934,
was presented and ordered filed.
Annual report of the City Clerk was presented. Moved by
Kilcrease, seconded by Thatcher, that the report be accepted.
Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.

Annual report of the City Clerk to the State Controller,
was presented. Moved by Kilcrease, seconded by Warner, that the
report be accepted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
Moved by Warner, seconded by Kilcrease, that the proper
Officers be authorized to make the following transfers:
$1,797.50 from Harbor Imp. Fund to General Fund
2,081.31 from Spec. Del. Tax Fund to General Fund
966.48 from General Fund to Police Fund
Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
Moved b,- Cordingly, seconded by Warner, that the Council
adjourn. Carried.
