Bird.

Moved by Warner, seconded by Kilcrease, that the bills be allowed,
and Warrants ordered drawn in accordance with the provisions in
Resolution No. 1747. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
° Communication from Division of Highways regarding National
Avenue now under construction, was read andordered filed.
Communication from Faulkner, Oaks, Faulkner, regarding a
City Audit, was read and oraered filed.
Communication from Automobile Wrecking Association, regarding
a uniform wrecking Ordinance, was read and referred to the Police
Dnpt.
° Communication from Herbert Barnes, regarding complaint
about Alley, was read and ordered filed.
OCommunication from National City Kiwanis Club, regarding
use of Club House for League dinner, was read. Moved by Warner,
seconded by Thatcher, that the City Council accept the offer
of the Club House for the League dinner. Carried.
J Communication from L. E. C. Smith, requesting permission
to surface 6th Street from the end of the pavement to the West
line of L Avenue. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease,
that the request be granted and the work done under the super-

vision of the Street Supt. Floyd Finnerty. Carried, all Council-
men present voting aye.
Councilman Thatcher:brought up the proposition about a lease
between the City and the Sunset Pacific Oil Co. Moved by Cordingly,
seconded by Thatcher, that the proposition be laid over for
further consideration.
Judge Harbison was present, regarding the SERA project for
grading L Avenue between 4th and 6th Streets. Moved by Cordingly,
seconded by Thatcher, that the project be approved. Carried, all
Councilmen present voting aye. Judge Harbison also spoke briefly
on the Library project.
Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Warner, that the City Clerk
be instructed to write a letter of thanks to Chief Almgren of the
San Diego Fire Dept. for the cooperation in extinguishing the
fire on the Sunset Pacific 0i1 Co. Wharf. Carried, all Councilmen
present voting aye.
0RESOLU'TION NO. 1752, authorizing payment of interest coupons
to the amount of $150.00 from Sinking Fund No. 6, was read.
Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Warner, that the Resolution be
adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Kilcrease, that the proper
Officers be authorized to transfer $374.00 from the Street
Improvement Fund to the General Fund. Carried, all Councilmen
present voting aye.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Kilcrease, that the Council
adjourn. Carried.
