Council men present, Cordingly, Thatcher, Warner, and Bird. Councilmen absent, Kilcrease. Minutes of the regular meeting of November 20, read and approved. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. The Planning Commission respectfully asked that the matter of the petition of the N.C. Salvage Co. be reopened by the City Council. Granted. Communication from the N.C. Packing Co. regarding the closing of WS0' of Eighth Avenue. The Planning Commission recommended to the City Council that the request be allowed. Matter referred to Attorney Isaacson. 9 Communication from Dexter M. Smith regarding the cut- ting_ down of tree,read and ordered filed. Q Communication from the S.D. Cons. Gas & Light Co. regarding the refund on meter readings at 1833 McKinley, read and ordered filed. ' Report of the Fire Dept. for the month of November, 182 read and ordered filed. Carried by the follwing mote towit: Ayes: Councilmen, Cordingly, Thatcher, i'rarner, Bird. Nayes:Councilmen, none. Absent: Councilmen, Kilcrease. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Warner, to rescind the former action of the City Council regarding the petition of the N.C.Salv2ge Co. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Cordingly, to set hearing at eight ( 8 ) o'clock on December 18,193 4, before the Ci 7 Council in the Council Chamb-rs at the City Hall. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Clerk instructed to notify all interested parties- the members"of the Planning Commission, the Petitioner, the resiaents signing the petition - of herring. Chief Bird requested two weeks more to draw resol- ution regarding the running over of fire hose. Granted. Notice that the League of Municipalities of San Diego County will meet in Chula Vista, Friday, Dec. 7, 1934. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher, that the City pay the 1934 dues, amounting to $15.00, to the League. Carried, by the following vote to wit: Ayes:Councilmen, Cordingly, Thatcher, Barner, Bird. Nayess Councilmen, none. Absent: Councilmen, Kilcrease. g Reports of the Dept. Heads retarding expenditures for the five months, read and ordered filed. 183 Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Warner, that_the proper Officers be authorized to make the following trans- fer: $ 734.63 from the Spec. Del. Tax Fund to Sinking Eund #4. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. °RESOLUTION # 1759, Authorizing payment of Bond and Interest Coupons to the amount of $ 1540.00 , from Sinking Fund # 4, was read. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Warner, to accept the resolution. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher, that the Clerk be instructed to write a letter of condolence to Mrs, Richard Vanderipe and to Mrs. C.C. Vanderipe.
