Councilmen present Pettit, Thatcher, Waddell, and Minutes of regular meeting of February 6, 1934, read approved. Carried, all Council- men present voting aye. Mr. C. R. Linn was present regarding Zoning Ordinance. °Communication from City of Whittier, regarding Southern California League of Municipalities./Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Pettit, that the communication be filed. Carried. O Communication from Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works was read. Moved by Pettit, seconded by Thatcher, that the communication be filed. (tarried. °Application of C. R. Linn for position as Deputy City Aseessor, was read and ordered filed. Fire Chief Bird requested more time on report for abatement of nusiance. Mr. Aldrich reported on matter of Eucalyptus trees. °URDINAICE NO. 634, relating to assessment levy and collection of taxes was placed on final passage. Moved by Thatcher, seconded 123. by Waddell, that the Ordinance be adopted. Carried, all Council- men present voting aye. ORDINANCE NO. , amending Ordinance No. 538, relating to assessment levy and collection of taxes was read. Moved by Pettit, seconded by Thatcher, that the Ordinance be introduced and laid over, under the rules and according to law. Carried. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Pettit, that the proper Officers be authorized to draw a warrant in favor of Asa R. Webb, City Treasurer, in the sum of $1,685.15, to be deposited in the General'Fund. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Pettit, that the proper Officers be authorized to transfer from the General Fund to Sinking Fund No. 6, the sum of $1,685.15. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. °RESOLUTION NO. 1732, ordering the proper Officers to draw a warrant in favor of Asa R. Webb, City Treasurer, in payment of Bonds and interest coupons, due in Series "F". Moved by Waddell, seconded by Thatcher, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. °Resolution No. 1733, declaring result of Special Bond Election, was read. Moved by Pettit, seconded by Thatcher, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. City Clerk recommended the appointment of Dale Smith as Deputy dity Assessor. Moved by Pettit, seconded by Waddell, that C. R. Linn and Dale Smith be appointed Deputy City Assessors at the salary of $5.00 per day to be paid from the General Fund. Mr. Smith to start work February 26, 1934, and Mr. Linn to start work March 5, 1934. Carried by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Pettit, Thatcher, and Waddell. Noes, Councilman Requa. 8zerr£trd. Mr. Wilkie reported on C. W. A. progress. Moved by Waddell, seconded by Pettit, that Mr. Wilkie be allowed to employ a crew of Engineers for C. W. A. Projects, not to exceed expense of $100:00, to be drawn from the General Fund. Carried, all 'ouncilmen present voting aye. Moved by Waddell, seconded by Thatcher, that the Council adjourn.
