Councilmen present, Thatcher, Pettit, Waddell and Requa. Mr. Goldfarb was present regarding distribution of hand bills. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Pettit, that the City Engineer and City Attorney be direced to present to the Council the necessary proceedings to obtain a Right of Way oh First Street over the Santa Fe Tracks. Carried. Moved by Pettit, seconded by Thatcher that the Council adjourn 1934 to Tuesday the 9th day of January/at 2:00 o'clock P. M. Carried. ATTEST: ayor of the of N=tional City, Ca3fornia. Communication from Chamber of Commerce regarding opening of McKinley Avenue from 9th Street to 12th Street as soon as possible was read. Moved by Pettit, seconded by Waddell, that the matter be referred to the City Attorney and City Engineer. Carried. Communication from Chamber of Commerce regarding the including of choice of sites in Bond Issue election was read. Moved by Waddell, seconded by Pettit, that the matter be referred to the Planning Commission. Carried. Moved by Waddell, seconded by Pettit, that the matter of closing Alley between 4th and 5th Streets in Kimball's Sub. be referred to the Planning Commission. Carried. //4 Certified copy of Water Hearing revised decision presented by City Attorney for filing. Moved by Pettit, seconded by Thatcher, that the Council adjourn to Friday the 12th day of January 1934, at 2:00 o'clock P. M. Carried. ATTEST: National City, California January 12, 1934. Rice presented estimated cost of construction of New City Hall, preliminary sketch and blue print of floor plan. °RESOLUTION N0. 1728, determining that public interest and necessity demand the construction of a public building to be used for a City Hall, was read. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Pettit, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Pettit, that the Council ajourn. Carried.
