Councilmen present, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, and , Bird. Councilman Cordingly absent. o RESOLUTION NO. 1747, relating to the payment of certain Warrants, was read. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Kilcrease, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, and Bird. Nays: Councilmen, none. Absent: Councilman Cordingly. The following bills audited sented: The National City News Bank of America, Nat'l City Electrical Products Corp. State Compensation Ins. Fund A. Carlisle & Co. The Sweetwater Water Corp. B. J. Scott Wm. Briggs Ted Orrell A. M. Winters Hoffman's Laundry E. L. Malcolm Nelson -Smith E. D. Dist. 18.29 Total $1,104.66 Moved by Kilcrease, seconded by Thatcher, that the bills be allowed and Warrants ordered drawn in accordance with the pro- visions in Resolution No. 1747. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. ORDINAnCE NO. , an Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 612 relating to public dance halls, was read. Moved by Kilcrease, seconded by Thatcher, that the Ordinance be introduced and laid over, under the rules and according to law. Carried, all Council- men present voting aye. °ORDINANCE NO. 637, repealing Ordinance No. 621, was placed on final passage. Moved by Kilcrease, seconded by Warner, that the Ordinance be adopted. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, and Bird. Nays: Council- men, none. Absent: Councilman Cordingly. 0 RESOLUTION NO. 1748, creating a special fund u n to provide for the payment of Warrants outstanding as of July 1, 1934, was read. 157. Moved by Kilcrease, seconded by Thatcher, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner, and Bird. Nays: Councilmen none. Absent: Councilman Cordingly. Moved Kilcrease, seconded by Warner, that the Council adopt the following Resolution to the memory of William Cordingly. DRESOLUTION NO. 1749 BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of National City, California, as follows: That Whereas God in His infinite wisdom has seen fit to remove from us one of our loyal and faithful citizens and a man of sincere integrity and rare ability, his absence will be keenly felt by those who came in close touch with him. We extend to his beloved and faithful wife our sincere sympathy in her great loss. We direct that tnis Resolution be spread upon the minutes, and a copy thereof sent to Idrs. Cordingly. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. In respect to the late William Cordingly, a former City Councilman, the City Council dispensed with all unnecessary business, and it was moved by Thatcher, seconded by Kilcrease, that the Council adjourn.
