Mr. James E. Stephenson was present regarding a stock farm
inside the City limits. Matter referred to Police Dept.for report.
Mr. Stein was present regarding purchase of house which was
built under the old Building Ordinance. Moved by Waddell, seconded
by Thatcher, that Mr. Stein be given permission to move the build-
ing. Carried.
o Communication from Susie Moore, Librarian, to notify the City
Council of the resignation of Dr. Theo. F. Johnson, who had been..a
member of the Library Board for almost fifty years, was read.
Moved by Waddell, seconded by Thatcher, that the Rev. Paul Jones
be appointed a member of the Library Board to fill vacancy, caused
by the resignation of Dr. Theo. F. Johnson. Carried.
o Report of City Court for month of February, 1934, read and
ordered filed.
o Report of Supt. of Streets and Bldg. Inspector for month of
February, 1934, read and ordered filed.
°ORDINANCE NO. 635, amending Ordinance No. 538, relating to
the assessment, levy and collection of taxes, was placed on final
passage. Moved by Thatche^, seconded by Waddell, that the Ordinance
be adopted. Carried, aif Councilmen present voting aye.
o RESOLUTION NO. 1734, calling a General Municipal Election was
read. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Waddell, that the Resolution
be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
Fire Chief, James Bird, reported on abatement of nusiance.
Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Waddell, that the City Clerk be
instructed to write the National City Packing Co., regarding the
findings of Fire Chief Bird. Carried.
Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Waddell, that the Council
adjourn. Carried.
