Mayor. Councilmen present, Cordingly, Kilcrease, Thatcher, Warner,
Bird.
Minutes of the regular meeting of August 21, 1934, read and
approved.

Moved by Kilcrease, seconded by Cordingly, that the bills be allowed,
and Warrants ordered drawn in accordance with the provisions in
Resolution No. 1747. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
Floyd Finnerty, St. Supt. was present and requested that the
City Council give him permission to take the Sewer maps from the
vault in the Judge's Office. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by
Thatcher, that the maps be placed on file with Lloyd Bates, Purch-
asing Agent, and be brought up to date. Carried, all Councilmen
present voting aye.
°Communication from 0. C. Ludwig, regarding gas and electric
rates, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Thatcher, that
the communication be filed.
°Communication from Oswald Bros. Contractors, regarding Bail
was read.
Bonds,/ Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Warner, that the offer be
accepted,and that the City Clerk be authorized to instruct the
Oswald Bros. that the City Council as agreed to accept their offer
of $.30 on a dollar. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
Moved by Kilcrease, seconded by Cordingly, that the insurance
policies on the Library, presented by Lila Williams and 0. H.

Kimball, be accepted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
0 Report of City Court for the month of August, 1934, presented.
Moved by Kilcrease, seconded uy Cordingly, that the report be
accepted and placed on file. Carried.
0 Time report of the Fire Dept. for the month of August, 1934,
was presented and ordered filed.
o Report from the Fire Marshall's Office for the month of August
1934, was presented and ordered filed.
0RESOLUTION NO. 1753, fixing the rate and levying the taxes
for fiscal year 1934-1935 at $1.69 per $100.00 valuation presented.
Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Kilcrease, that the Resolution be
adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
Petition filed by H. P. Scheuerman for annexation to San Diego,
presented. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Warner, that the
petition be filed and referred to the City Clerk, to be checked.
Carried, all Councilmen p esent voting aye.
0 Upon recommendation of Leslie E. Knapp, Chief of Police, it was
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Warner, that the Communication
from the Automobile Wreckers' Association be filed. Carried.
Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Kilcrease, that the Council
adjourn. Carried.
