Regular meeting of the City Council called to order by the
Mayor. Councilmen present, Pettit, Thatcher, Waddell, Wade
and Requa.
Minutes of regular meeting of March 21, 1933, read and
approved.

Moved by Wade, seconded by Waddell, that the bills be allowed and
Warrants ordered drawn for same. Carried, all Councilmen present
voting aye.
°Communication from W. H. Lanagan relative to proposed moorings
read and ordered filed.
°Commuhication from W. H. Lanagan relative to cost of dredging
channnel read and ordered filed.
°Communication from Leago of California Municipalities relative
to request for $50.00 to defray expenses to obtain proper allocation
of Gasoline Tax was read. The Communication was ordered filed and
the matter referred to the Finance Committee.
°Petition to have name of Pool Hall license issued to Ben
S. Boggs changed to W. H. Taylor was read. Moved by Waddell,
Seconded by Thatcher that the matter be referred to the Chief of
Police. Carried.

o Petition of Citizens to have Attorney Harris, retained at a
fee of $500.00 and expenses outside of San Diego County, to sit in
Railway Commission hearings on the water rate case was read.
Moved by Pettit, seconded by Wade, that the petition be filed.
Carried.
• Applications of D. N. Shepley, George Sour, E. G. Gould,
Agnes Lee Vlahiotis, E. J. Farrell for beverage licenses were read
and ordered filed.
- Report of City Court for month of March, 1933, read and ordered
filed.
°ORDINANCE NO. 623, an ordinance providing for licensing -certain
businesses, providing penalties for violation thereof, and repealing
ordinances in conflict therewith, was placed on final passage, and
on motion by Waddell, seconded by Pettit, same adopted by the
following vote. Ayes, Councilmen, Pettit, Wade, Waddell. Noes,
Councilmen Thatcher and Requa.
°ORDINANCE NO. 624, an Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. 538
relating to Assessment, Levy and Collection of Taxes, was placed
on final passage, and on motion by Waddell, seconded by Thatcher,

°Matter of Parallel parking taken up and referred to Policd
Dept.
o RESOLUTION OF INTEBTION NO. 1702, closing alley in Block 1
of Frank P. Redd's Subdivision, was read. Moved by Wade, seconded
by Pettit that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen
present voting aye.
Moved by Waddell, seconded by Wade, that the Council adjourn
to Thursday April 6, 1933, at 4:00 o'clock P. M. Carried.
