Councilmen present, Pettit, Thatcher, Wade, Waddell and Requa. °ORDINANCE NO. 625, an emergency Ordinance,licensing and regulating the manufacture and sale of certain beverages within the City of National City, was read. Moved by Pettit, seconded by Wade, that the Ordinance be adopted. Carried, by the following vote. Ayes, Councilmen Pettit, Thatcher, Wade and Waddell. No, Councilman Requa. °Application of the Great Atlantic2and Pacific Tea Cempany, accompanied by a fee of $20.00, wee.n1e for license to sell beverages in orginal containers at 824 National Avenue, was read. Moved by Waddell, seconded by Wade, that the license be granted. Carried. covering oFee of $30.00 from D., N. She3ley was presented4or application filed for license to sell beverages on premises only. Moved by Pettit, seconded by Waddell, that the license be granted. Carried. covering DFee of $50.00 from Glen Glasford was presenteditr Application_filed for licensesto sell beverages on premises and in original containers. Moved by Wade, seconded by Waddell, that the licensesbe granted. Carried. °Application of Southern Gardens Inn, by A. Aderer, accompanied by a fee of $30.00 for license to sell beverages on premises only, was read. Moved by Pettit, seconded by Thatcher, that the license be granted. Carried.
