Knecht, Chief the Railroad Building Inspector of City of San Diego, regarding representative at Building Officals Conference, read and ordered filed. °Communication from H. F. Roberts regarding collection of seconded by Pettit, garbage and rubbish was read. that the communication be filed. Moved by Waddell, °Communication from League of California Municipalities re- garding National Industrial Recovery Act read and ordered filed. 'Communication from League of California Municipalities re- garding State Sales Tax, read and ordered filed. °Communication from National City Chamber of Commercewas regarding read. reservation for City of at, least forty acres of Tidelands,/ Moved by Wade, seconded by Thatcher,that communication be filed. Carried. 82. o Petition of Ed McConley for transfer of Pool Hall License presented. Moved by Waddell, seconded by Pettit, that the matter be referred to the Chief of Police. Carried. o Petition of Ed McConley to have Beverage License issued to W. H. Taylor changed to his name, read and ordered laid over until next meeting. ° Report of City Court for month of July, read and ordered filed. 'Report of Building Inspector for month of July„ read and ordered filed. ' Bond of Harold Platt Requa Jr.,Deputy City Treasurer,was presented. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Wade, that Bond be approved. Carried. o Matter of sending representative to Pacific Coast Building Conference Wwsbrought up. Moved by Waddell, seconded by Wade, that the Building Inspector be sent to Monterey. Carried. o Moved by Wade, seconded by Pettit,that Mr. Aldrich be allowed expense money not to exceed $50.00 to cover expense, as delegate to convention at Monterey. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. 'Moved by Wade, seconded by Thatcher, that Fred A. Wilkie be appointed Deputy Building Inspector, to act in the absence of Building Inspector. Carried. °Matter of revaluation of property belonging to Chas. F. Keafer was brought up and laid over for the Board -of Equalization. °Matter of refund on Beverage License,laid over until next meeting. °Matter of Gasoline Tax Revenue referred to Street Department, again laid over until next meeting. °Police Department presented copy of letter, answering, communication of Automobile Club of Southern California, regarding which errection of warning signs,/Was ordered filed. r tion 1Matter of Federal Emergency Administ/contained in communication from League of California Municipalities brought up and communication ordered filed. 83. °ORDINANCE NO. regarding the installation of Sewer Laterals was presented. Moved by Wade, seconded by Pettit, that the Ordinance be introduced and laid over, under the rules and according to law. Carried. °Moved by Waddell, seconded by Pettit, that the proper Officers be authorized to transfer from the General Fund to Sinking Fund No. 6, $500.00. Carried. ° Mr. H. N. Aslin presented an oral request for a light at 26th Street and National Avenue. Matter referred to Mr. Wade, Street Commissioner. Moved by Pettit, seconded by Wade,that Council adjourn.
