Councilmen present, Pettit, Thatcher, Wade, Waddell, and Requa. Minutes of the regular meeting of Aug. 1, 1933 read and approved. Carried, all Council- men present voting aye. °Communication from V. M. Hatfield regarding auto wrecking yard at First Avenue and 10th Street was -read. Moved by Wade, seconded by Thatcher, that the communication be referred to the City Attorney for reply. Carried. °Communication from the Superior California Public Ownership League. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Pettit, that the communicatior by filed. Carried. 0 Communication from State Compensation Insurance Fund re- garding Fire Employees' insurance was read. Moved by Waddell, seconded by Pettit, that the matter by referred to the Fire Commissioner. Carried. °Communication from Temporary Reorganization Committee of Southern Municipalities, regarding reorganization of League of California Municipalities, read and ordered filed. °Communication from Chief of Police recommending_transfer of Pool Hall License was read. Moved by Pettit, seconded by Wade, that the Pool Hall License issued in name of W. H. Taylor be transferred to Ed McConlpy. Carried. °Moved by Pettit, seconded by Wade, that application for Beverage License, accompanied by 30.00 fee, be granted to Ed McConley. Carried by the following vote: ayes, Councilmen Rattit, Thatcher, Wade, Waddell; noes, Councilman Requa. °Report of Frank L. Wade, Street Commissioner on Gasoline Tax money was read. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Waddell, that the report be approved, and the City Clerk be instructed to send a copy of same to the Highway Department. Carried. °Matter of transfering of Beverage License again laid over. °Councilman Pettit excused. °ORDINANCE NO. 628, regarding installation of Sewer Laterals 'was placed on final passage and on motion of Wade, Seconded by Waddell, same adopted. All Councilmen present voting aye. °Application of Jane Pierson, accompanied by fee of $30.00 for -$average License was presented. Moved by Waddell, seconded 86. by Wade, that the application be granted. Carried. ° Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Wade, that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign a Warrant in favor of Asa R. Webb, City Treasurer, to be deposited in General Fund for sum of $1,407.11. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. - 'Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Wade, that the proper Officers be authorized to transfer from the General pund to the Sinking • Fund #6, the sum of $1,407.11. Carried. °RISOLUTION NO. 1718, authorizing payment of interest coupons to the amount of $3000.00 in Sinking Fund #6 was read. Moved by Waddell, seconded by Wade, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. 'Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Wade, that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign a Warrant in favor of Pacific Coast Building Officials Conference, to the amount of $10.00 to be drawn on the General Fund. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. °Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Wade, that the Olympic Committee be granted the use of the City Park Aug. 26, 1933. Carried. 'Moved by Waddell, be authorized to draw J. A. Isaacson, to the Water Hearing. Moved by Wade until Tuesday Aug. ATTEST: seconded by Thatcher that the proper Officers a Warrant on the General Fund, in favor of the amount of $200.00, extra compensation on Carried; all Councilmen present voting aye. , seconded by Waddell, that the Council adjourn 22, 1933 at 7:30 P.
