Regular meeting of the City Council called to order by the
Mayer. Councilmen present Pettit, Thatcher, Waddell, Wade, and
Requa.
Minutes of the regular meeting of January 17, 1933 and the
special meeting of January 27, 1933 were read and approved with
the following corrections: SEEW4F2the motion made by Pettit and
be made to read
seconded by Wade,/that the penalties and cancellation fees be
waived if paid by February 1, 1933, on Lots 8, 9 and 10, Block
15, Plat; Lots I and J, Block 4, Lincoln Acres Orchard Sub. a
Section 107 and 128, Nat'l Ro.

Moved by Wade, seconded by Pettit, that the bills be allowed, and
warrants orderearawn for same. Carried, all Councilmen present
voting aye.

° Mr. Cooper of the Antiseptic Laundry was present in regard¢
to license. Moved by Wade, seconded by Pettitithat the matter
of license for Antiseptic Laundry be laid over until next meeting.
Carried.
°Coommunication from Mrs. Gertrude Puterbaugh was read and
orderef@lled.
o Communication from Edna W. Snook regarding installation of
Gas Meter at building adjoining Casa de Salud was read. Moved
by Waddell, seconded by Wade1that the Gas Company by authorized
to install meter. Carried. All Councilmen present voting aye.
'Communicationffrom Wm. E. Harper in regards to Gas Allocation
was read and orderefdiled.
° Copy of letter from Automobile Club regarding elimination of
fixing traffic tickets written to A. V. Goeddel read and ordered
filed.
o Petition to vacate' Alley in Block 1, F. P. Reed's Sub.
was read. Moved by Pettit, seconded by Thatcher the petition be
laid over until next meeting.
o Petition of H. Philip Scheuerman to remove two trees at the
corner of National Avenue and Second Street was read. Moved by
Pettit, seconded by Wade that the matter be referred to the
Planning Commission. Carried.
°Application of Dale Smith for position of City Assessor was
read. Moved by Wade, seconded by Pettit that the application be
filed. Carried by The following vote, ayes, Councilmen Waddell,
Pettit, and Requa. Noes, Councilmen Wade and Thatcher.
o Petition of L. N. Christianson for refund of taxes amounting
to $2.61 on improvements in Block 91, Plat was read. Moved by
Waddell, seconded by Wade that the refund of $2.61 be allowed.
Carried. All Councilmen present voting aye.
`Report of Fire Department for year ending December 31, 1932
read and ordered filed.
°Report of City Cburt for month of January 1933 read and ordered
filed.

Report of City Engineer Wilkie on Sewer laterals was read.
Moved by Wade, seconded by Thatcher that the City Engineer and
City Attorney be instructed to prepare an Ordinance covering
same. Carried.
°RESOLUTION NO. 1696 proposing changes in certain Zones
on Zoning Map was read. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Pettit
that Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present
voting aye.
°Moved by Pettit, seconded by Wade that the salary of B. J.
Gautereaux, Superintendent of Swimming Pool, be reduced 10g,
effective January 1, 1933. Carried, all councilmen present
voting aye.
°RESOLUTION NO. 1697 authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to
sign a warrant in favor of Asa R. Webb, City Treasurer for the
amount of $8125.00, payment of Municipal Bonds and Interest
cou ons, appropriated out of Sinking Fund #6,.tams read. MOved b7

assessments and cash settlement, on property at Division Street
and Palm Avenue. Stated that he had been requested to report
that they would settle for $150.00 and the Assessments against
the property. Matter laid over until next meeting.
Moved by Wade, seconded by Pettit, that the meeting be
adjourned. Carried.
