Regular meeting of the City Council called to order by the
Mayor. Councilmen present, Pettit, Thatcher, Waddell, Wade and
Requa.
Minutes of regular meeting of February 7, 1933 read and approved.

o Communication from Gladys Choate regarding Ordinance covering
carnivals etc., was read. Moved by Pettit, seconded by Thatcher,that
the communication be filed..0arried
°Communication from the Railroad Commission to Attorneys regarding
Sweetwater Water Corporation hearing was read and ordered filed.,
°Applications of Louis A. Thomas and C. R. Linn for position of
Deputy Assessor were read and ordered filed.
°Communication from City of Coronado regarding Assembly Bill
No. 1563 was read and laid over till next meeting.,
o Matter of license for Mr. Cooper, Antiseptic Laundry was taken
up. Moved by Wade, seconded by Thatcher, that license be issued Antiseptic
Laundry to expire June 1, 1933. Carried, all Councilmen present voting ayc
°Matter of closing alley in Block 1, F. P. Reed's Sub., laid over
till next meeting.
°Communication from Fred A. Wilkie, Secretary Planning Commission
read and ordered filed. ,
°Matter of removing trees at National Avenue and Second Street
laid over till next meeting.
o Communication from Wm. D. Bear regarin4 efficient fire service

read and ordered filed.
cited H. K. Deeds was present regarding cancellation of dog
license. Moved by Waddell, seconded by Thatcher, that the matter be
referred to the Chief of Police with power to act. Carried.
° RESOLUTION NO. 1698, approving and ordering filed, supplemental
report of Planning Commission was read. Moved by Waddell, seconded by
Pettit the Resolttion be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present
voting aye.
° Mr. Erb was present regarding construction of houses on his
property.
o ORDINANCE NO. , providing for licensing certain businesses
was read. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Wade, that the Ordinance be
laid over till next meeting. Carried by the following vote. Ayes,
Councilmen Wade, Thatcher, Requa. Noes, Councilmen Pettit and Waddell.
°City Attorney reported on Sewer Laterals, laid over till next
meeting.
°Tax Ordinance brought up and laid over till nex# meeting.
o Moved by Pettit, seconded by Waddell, that C. R. Linn and
Dale Smith be appointed Deputy Assessors at $5.00 per day. Carried,
all Councilmen present voting aye.
° Moved by Pettit, seconded by Thatcher, that the proper officers
transfer from the General Fund to the Park Maintenance and Improvement
Fund,$700.00. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye.
o ORDINANCE N0. , a zoning Ordinance was introduced and
laid over under the rules and according to law by motion made by
Waddell, seconded by Pettit, and carried all Councilmen present voting aye
Moved by Waddell, seconded by Wade, the meeting be adjourned.
Carried.
