Regular meeting of City Council called to order by the Mayor.
Councilmen present, Pettit, Thatcher, Waddell, and Reeua. Council-
man Wade absent.
Minutes of regular meeting of October 17, 1933, and special
meeting of October 31, 1933, read and approved.

allowed and Warrants ordered drawn for same. Carried, all Council-
men present voting aye.

"George F. Faircloth, H. Wade, Hans C. Norgarrd, Coburn
Maddox, were present regarding unclaimed exemption, requesting
Council to grant same. Communication from W. H. Wordley and F. J.
Tinkler, regarding exemptions were read. Matter referred to City
Attorney, to be acted on at the next meeting.
0Mr. Colbert was present requesting free peddlers license,
covering brooms and brushes manufactured by State Hospital for
Blind. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Requa that the request be
denied as our Ordinance does not permit granting free licenses.
Carried.
°Communication from W. F. Bradley, regarding extension of
platform over sidewalk of W. J. Bush Citrus Products Co. Plant,
was read. Moved by Waddell, seconded by Thatcher, that the
extension be granted W. J. Bush Citrus Products Co. on said
platform. Carried.
°Communication from War Department regarding dredging a
particular area in Glorietta Bay, read and ordered filed.
°Communication fron John D. Reavis regarding refund from
S. D. Cons. Gas & Elec. Co. on rates, read and referred to City
Attorney.
°Report of Building Inspector for month of October read and
Ordered filed.
6Report of City Court for month of October read and ordered
filed.
°Mr. Aldrich reported on progress being made on changes in
Building Code.
Fire Chief Bird reported on call box in Old Town. Matter
again laid over until next meeting.
°RESOLUTION OF INTENTION No. /7 -3 closing portion of Alley
in Block 1, Kimball's Sub. was read. Moved by Pettit, seconded
by Thatcher that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all council-
men present voting aye.
°ORDINANCE NO. , an Ordinance naming certain Alleys
and Streets, was read. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Pettit,
that the Ordinance be introduced and laid over, undor the rules
and according to law. Carried.

°RESOLUTION NO. i72,// , authorizing payment of principal and
interest coupons to the amount of $1,575.00 from Sinking Fund
No. 5, was read. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Waddell, that the
Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen voting aye.
°Councilman Pettit was excused.
°Pursuant to Resolution No. 1722, on motion made by Thatcher,
seconded by Waddell, that Yr. Wilkie, City Engineer, was requested
to submit project statement required by Department of Public
Works. Motion carried.
°Communication from Division of Highways requesting project
statement and answer to questionnaire, was read and ordered
filed, as Street Supt. Aldrich had previously taken care of same
Councilman Thatcher brought up matter of the purchase of a
new truck, for Councilman Wade who is ill, requesting Councilmen
to look,forrard to making purchase of same.
Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Waddell, that the Council
adjourn. Carried.
