Regular meeting of the City Council called to order by the
Mayan. Councilmen present, Pettit, Thatcher, Waddell, and Requa.
Councilman Wade absent.
Minutes of regular meeting of September 19, 1933, read and
approved.

Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Pettit, that the bills be allowed
and Warrants ordered drawn for same. Carried, all Councilmen present
voting aye.
tlglrs. Lee was present, regarding arrangement to pay installments
on Sewer installation. Matter laid over until next meeting.
Moved by Waddell, seconded by Pettit, that Supt. of Streets,
Lel'is R. Aldrich, assist Mrs. Lee with her cesspool for temporary
use. Carried.
"Communication from 20-30 Club, regarding the Life Saving and
Swimming Lessons of past summer, read and ordered filed.
"Petition of residents of Old Town section of the City, regarding
better Police and Fire protection, read. Moved by Pettit, seconded
by Thatcher, that the matter be referred to the Police and Fire

`Communication from C. J. Rambo & Co. regarding their
services to Cities making applications to the Federal Government,
for loans under the provisions of the National Industrial Re-
covery Act, read. Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Pettit, that the
Communication be filed. Carried.
°Communication from the State Association of Master Plumbers
of California, read and ordered filed.
°Communication from. the Office of the State Board of Equali-
zation of California, regarding new law on expenditures not to
exceed 5 % of the previous year, read and ordered filed.
°Report of the Building Inspector for month of September,
read and ordered filed.
°Report of the City Court for month of September, read and
ordered filed.
°Report of L. E. Knapp, Chief of Police, regarding the
issuance of a Beverage License to Denton C. McDaniel, read and
ordered filed.
'Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Waddell, that the application
of Denton C. McDaniel for Beverage License, not be granted. Carried.
°Moved by Thatcher, seconded by Pettit, that the naming of the
Alley be referred to the Planning Commission. Carried.
°Title of Alley in Block 213, again laid over.
'ORDINANCE N0. 629, an Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 623,
relating to the licensing of certain businesses, was placed on
final passage and on motion made by Waddell, seconded by Pettit,
same adopted. All Councilmen present voting aye.
°Moved by Waddell, seconded by Thatcher, that the Mayor and
City Clerk be authorized to sign a Warrant in favor of Asa R. Webb,

City Treasurer, to be deposited in the General Fund, for the sum
of $600.00. Carried, all Councilmen present voting ave.
Moved by Waddell, seconded by Thatcher, that the proper
Officers be authorized to transfer from the General Fund to the
Library Fund, the sum of $600.00. Carried, all Councilmen present
voting aye.

Officers be authorized to draw a Warrant on the General Fund,
in favor of J. A. Isaacson, to the amount of $125.00, extra
compensation on the Water
present voting aye.

Bird, was present and reported on the
Fire Apparatus going outside the City Limits to answer calls.
°Councilman Pettit was excused.
°Moved by Waddell, that the matter of the Fire Apparatus
going outside the City Limits to answer calls be referred to the
Fire Commissioner. There being no second to
matter was laid over until the next meeting.
Moved by Waddell, seconded by Thatchdr,
adjourn. Carried.
