Communt.Cation from the County League of Municipalities,announc- ing meeting at Chula Vista, Friday,April 8, 1932,was read and ordered filed. ,Communication from Bank of America, City, regarding stop pay- ment on Warrant No. 15515 dated October 7, 1930 was read. City Clerk was instructed to notify the bank to continue the stop pay- ment. yetitionsfrom the Robert H. Scholer Post No. 2111 and the United Spanish War Veterans for use of the City Park, June 18, 1932 was read. Moved by Waddell, seconded by Murray, that the petition be granted. Carried. ,Petition of the National City Playground Ball Association regarding improvement was read. Moved by Waddell, seconded by Murray, that the matter be referred to the Park Commissioner to furnish an estimate of the cost of the proposed improvement and report at the next meeting. Carried. .Petition of S C Fink, for refund of deposit of $10.00 for removal of trees was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the proper officers draw a warrant on the General Fund is favor of S. C Fink. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. ,Petition of J. E. Delatour to remove four pepper trees at 1240 East 24th Street accompanied by deposit of $20.00 was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Bird, that the petition be granted. Carried. Communication from the Fire Marshal, regarding Fire Hydrants near the Paradise Valley Sanitarium was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Cordingly: 1. That the present four inch hydrant located adjacent to the Paradise Valley Sanitarium be replaced with a six inch hydrant, same to be placed it a point satisfactory to the Fire Marshall and Superintendent of Water Company; 2. That a four inch hydrant be installed at 8th Street and Sanitarium Drive; 3. That the two inch stand pipe located approximately 100 feet East of Paradise Drive be replaced with a fire hydrant, same 253. to be moved 150 feet West of present site on 8th Street; 4. That a six inch hydrant be installed at 9th Street and National Avenue; 5. That a hydrant be installed at 21st Street and National Ave., carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. ,Report of the City Judge for the month of March 1932 was read and ordered filed. Reports of the City Clerk and City Treasurer for quarter ending March 31st 1932,were read and orderedLfiled. .The matter of cutting curb for L. A. Weisser at llth Street and National Avenue was laid over. Harry Wade was present regarding the carnival to be put on by the K. of P. Lodge, May 27th and 28th, 1932, and requesting change of location to the City Park. Moved by Waddell, seconded by Murray, that permission be granted to the K. of P. Lodge, same to be under the supervision of the Park Commissioner. Carried. .Matter of improvement of S Avenue was laid over. ,Moved by Waddell, seconded by Murray, that City Clerk b e instructed to write J. A. Isaacson, expressing the City Councilts appreciation of his services during the absence of City Attorney Puterbaugh. Carried. ,Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Mw ray, that the Mayor sign a contract with the San Diego Consolidated Gas & Electric Company for lights at the tennis courts. Carried. /ORDINANCE NO. 615., amending Ordinance No. 597 creating Boulevard Stops on East 8th Street was placed on final passage and on motion by Cordingly, seconded by Waddell, same adopted, all Councilmen present voting aye. _Moved by Bird, seconded by Murray that the sum of $185.00 be transferred from the Street Fund to the General Fund and the sum of $185.00 be transferred from the General Fund to the Park Maintenance and Improvement fund and that the proper officers be instructed to make the necessary entries upon their records. Carried. Moved by Bird, seconded by Waddell, that the Council adjourn. Carried. ELTEAS, there was held on the eleventh day of April, 1932, a General Lfiinioipal Election, in the City of Rational City, California, and WHEREAS, the officers to be elected at said election were the following, to wit: Two Councilmen, each for a term of four years. One Councilman, for a term of two years. A City Clerk, for a term of four years. A City Treasurer, for a term of four years.
