National City, California, April 18, 1932.
The City Council met pursuant to law for the purpose
of canvassing the returns of the General Municipal Election
held April 11, 1932.
Councilmen present- Bird, Cordingly, Waddell and
Requa. Councilman Murray absent.
Minutes of regular meeting April 5, 1932, read and
approved.
The City Council thereupon canvassed the returns of
the election held April 11, 1932 and also canvassed the returns
of Absent Voter's Ballots. Councilmen Bird and Cordingly
appointed by the Mayor to act as Clerks.
IRRESOLUTION N0. 1672, declaring the result of the
General Municipal Election held April 11, 1932, was read.
Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly that the Resolution be
adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. The
Resolution was as follows:
The minutes were then approved.
The Mayor then swore in City Clerk Elect, 0. A. Mullen.
Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the City
Council adjourn sine die. Carried.

National City, California, April 18, 1932.
The newly elected City Council of the City of National
City, California, met immediately after the adjournment of the
old Council at the City Hall.
Present- Councilmen Waddell and Requa, members of the
City Council as formerly constituted whose terms had not expired;
present also, Councilmen Cordingly, Dawson and Wade, elected
April 11, 1932, each of whom thereupon took the oath of office.
The Council was called to order by the City Clerk.
Moved by Waddell, seconded by Cordingly that Harold
P. Requa be elected Mayor for the ensuing term. Carried unanimously.
The City Clerk requested the re -appointment of his
Deputies,Margaret Bencini and Katherine King.
/RESOLUTION NO. 1673, approving the re -appointment of
Deputy City Clerks, Margaret Bencini and Katherine King and fix-
ing their salaries was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by
Waddell that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen
present voting aye.
City Treasurer Webb requested the re -appointment of
Mrs. Irene Wissink, as Deputy City Treasurer and Tax Collector.
/RESOLUTION NO. 1674, approving the appointment of
Mrs. Irene Wissink as Deputy City Treasurer and Tax Collector
and fixing her salary was read. Moved by Dawson, seconded by
Cordingly that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen
present voting aye.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Dawson that the
Council adjourn. Carried.
