Regular meeting of the City Council called to order by the
Mayor. Councilmen present- Cordingly, Waddell, Made and Requa.
Councilman Dawson absent.
Minutes of -regular meeting of August 2, 1932, read and approved.
The following bills, audited by a majority of the Finance
Committee, presented;

Moved by Waddell, seconded by Wade, that the bills be allowed
and Warrants ordered drawn for same. Carried, all Councilmen present
voting aye.
,Bill of $100.00 in favor of the Fire Convention Fund for advert-
ising space in the souvenir program was presented. Moved by diaddell,
seconded by Nade, that the bill be allowed. Carried, all Councilmen
present voting aye.
,Lir. Garber, member of Water Committee regarding rates, was present
stating that they had decided to circulate a petition to present to
the Railroad Commission and asked if the City would furnish not to
exceed ?50.00 to cover expense of same. Matter was laid over to
next meeting.
,Communication from the League of California Municipalities
regarding a Utility Rate Service through the League was read`and
ordered filed.

,Communication from the League of California Municipalities
regarding use of the gasoline tax fund was read and ordered filed.
,The bids for furnishing gasoline to the City for a period of
one year were laid over.
,A hydrant to be located at the Kelco plant eras laid over.
he Mayor requested further time regarding Harbor appropriation.
Nr. Ray Amos present and stated that the controversy between
the State Compensation Insurance Fund and himself had been settled
satisfactorily.
,ORDINANCE NO. , adopting a Plastering Code was read.
Moved by Waddell, seconded by Wade, that it be introduced and laid
over //under the rules and according to law. Carried.
/RESOLUTION NO. 1686, authorizing payment of bonded indebtedness
due August 15, 1932 amounting to $3,125.00, was read. Moved by
Cordingly, seconded by ;Jade, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried,
all Councilmen present voting aye.
/RESOLUTION NO. 1687, directing notice inviting sealed proposals
for National City Lighting District No. 1, was read. MIoved by
Waddell, seconded by Wade,that the Resolution be adopted. Curried,
all Councilmen present voting aye.
,Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Wade, that there be transferred
from the Street Fund to the General Fund y$2100.00, and from the
Pound Fund to the General Fund ? 339.92, and from the General Fund to
the Fire Fund $443.35, and from the General Fund to the Police
Fund $1636.09, and from the General Fund to the Light and Water Fund
y$494.74, and from the General Fund to the Park Maintenance and
Improvement Fund E1482.08, and that the proper officers be instructed
to make the necessary entries upon their records. Carried.
Moved by Waddell, seconded by V;ade, that the City Council
adjourn to Tuesday August 23, 1932 at 7:30 o'clock P. M. Carried.
