Regular meeting of the City Council called to order by the
Mayor.
Councilmen present, Pettit, Thatcher, Waddell, Wade and Requa.
Minutes of regular meeting of December 6, 1932, read and approved.

Moved by Pettit, seconded by Wade, that the bills be allowed and
Warrants ordered drawn for same. Carried, all Councilmen present
voting aye.
°Mr.Florentine of the New Method Laundry was present regarding
license. Moved by Waddell, seconded by Thatcher, that the City Clerk
be instructed to issue license for 1932-1933, expiring June 15, 1933,
also to notify the Police Dept that license has been issued. Carried,
all Councilmen present voting aye.
°City Clerk reported meeting of Board of Supervisors to be held
Thursday morning December 22, 1932 at 10:00 o'clock A. MM., relative
to application for a loan from the Reconstruction Finance Corporation.
The Mayor stated the Council would be represented at the meeting.
`Communication from J. E. Blackman regarding tide -land lease
was read. Moved by Pettit, seconded by Wade, that the matter be laid
over till next meeting. Carried.

°Communication from Theo F. Johnson regarding 1893-1895 tax still
shown on records was read. Moved by Pettit, seconded by Wade, that the
petition to have the tax cancelled be granted and that the proper

officers be authorized to cancel the record. Carried, all Councilmen
present voting aye.
°Councilman Pettit reported Senator Harper would report on
Gasoline Tax Resolution at a later date, from Sacramento.
°Councilman Wade reported complaint on Rachael Avenue was on the
San Diego side and that the San Diego Street Dept was taking care of
same.
°Communication from R. B. Kemp regarding refund of tax amounting
to $13.48 was read. Moved by Pettit, seconded by Thatcher, that the
proper officers be authorized to draw a Warrant on the General Fund
in favor of R. B. Kemp to the amount of $$13.48. Carried, all
Councilmen present voting aye.
•The new tax Ordinance was discussed at considerable length.
Moved by Wade, seconded by Thatcher, that the Council adjourn.
Carried.
