National City, California; June 28,1932.
Regular adjourned meeting of the City Council called to
order by the Mayor. Councilmen present- Cordingly, Dawson, Waddell,
:lade and Requa.
Minutes of_rsgular meeting June 21, 1932 read and approved.
,Communication from the Kelco Company regarding location of
fire hydrant was read and ordered filed.
,Moved by Damson, seconded by Waddell, that the matter of a
fire hydrant at the Kelco Company's plant be referred to the
City Engineer and Fire Chief to report on at next meeting. Carried.
,Mr. Gibb of the Pay'n Takit'-Store was present asking that
a loading zone of twenty feet be marked off on 9th Street.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Waddell, that the Street Superin-
tendent be instructed to paint sign. Carried.
,A copy of Resolution adopted by the City of Oakland regarding
the diversion of Motor Vehicle revenues was read and ordered
filed.
_,Communication from the California Library Association
regarding funds for libraries was read and ordered filed.
70RD1NANCE NO. 617, repealing Ordinance No. 606, known as
Fire Cracker Ordinance was placed on final passage and on motion
by Cordingly, seconded by 4addell, same adopted by the following
vote. Ayes, Councilmen Cordingly, Dawson, Waddell, and Jade.
Nay, Councilman Requa.
a/ORDINANCE NO. 618, amending several Ordinances,.£ixing"the
salariesmof_.certain officers and providing for fixing the compensation
of all officers and employees of said City by Resolution, was
placed on final passage and on motion by Cordingly, seconded by
Wade, same adopted. All Councilmen present voting aye.
.RESOLUTION NO. , fixing the compensation and its
mode of payment of certain officer:: and employees of the City was
read and laid over.
.RESOLUTION NO. , regarding the elimination of all
justice courts outside the City of San Diego was read and laid
over.
