Regular meeting of the City Council called to order by the
Mayor.
Councilmen present, Pettit, Thatcher, Waddell, Wade and Requa.
Minutes of regular meeting of October 18, 1932, read and
approved as corrected.

Moved by Pettit, seconded by Thatcher; that the bills be allowed and
Warrants ordered drawn for same. Carried, all Councilmen present
voting aye.
• Mr. S. F. Beers was present regarding lease on tide -lands at
8th Avenue and 26th Street. Referred to City Engineer to report on
at next meeting.
Mr. Samuel L. Ely was present regarding an official grading
of alley in Block 212. Moved by Waddell, seconded by Thatcher that
the City Engineer establish grade in alley situated in Block 212.
• Communication from Arnold Slang regarding fatal accident at
Division Street and "P" Avenue was read and referred to the
Street Commissioner .
* Communication from Secretary of Planning Commission regarding
changes of Street names was read and laid over till next meeting.
• Communication from Board of Supervisors relative to "Emergency
Relief and Construction Act of 1932" presented and ordered filed.

Communication from Johnson W. Puterbaugh, City Attorney, re-
garding old outstanding Warrants was read and the City Clerk
instructed to write each of the persons to whom the Warrants
are made payable requesting they call for same.
Communication from Johnson W. Puterbaugh, City Attorney,
regarding claim of Dewey, Frederick& McCormick, Inc., for refund
of taxes was read and ordered filed. Moved by Pettit, seconded
by Wade, that claimbe denied. Carried.

• Report of Building Inspector for month of October/was read
and ordered filed.
' Report of City Judge for month of October, 1932, was read
and ordered filed.
°RESOLUTION NO. 1690, authorizing payment of Bonded Indebtedness
due November 1, 1932, amounting to $1612.50, was read. Moved by
Waddell, seconded by Wade, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried,
all Councilmen present voting aye.
Bond of City Clerk, Katherine King, presented. Moved by
Pettit, seconded by Thatcher, that the Bond be approved, accepted
and ordered filed. Carried.
o City Attorney reported that the hearing of Division of Water
Resources had been set for Saturday November 12, 1932.
City Attorney reported on suit filed2by property owner at
Division Street and Palm Avenue. Stated he believes claim can be
settled for amount of assessments against property. Moved by
Wade, seconded by Thatcher, that the City Attorney be instructed
to make a settlement Dor amount of assessments against property,
provided they do not exceed $160.00. Carried, all Councilmen
present voting aye with the exception of Mayor Requa who was not
voting.
o Fire Chief Bird reported Hydrant at Kelco Plant had been taken
care of.
oAfter considerable discussion, various communications relative
proposed
to/formal complaint 66 Railroad Commission on Water rates,were ordered
filed.
Moved by Pettit, seconded by Wade, that the Council adjourn.
Carried.
