Regular meeting of the City Council called to order by the
Mayor.
Councilmen present, Pettit, Thatcher, Waddell, Wade and Requa.
Minutes of regular meeting of November 1, 1932, read and approved.

Moved by Pettit, seconded by Wade, that the bills be allowed and
Warrants ordered drawn for same. Carried, all Councilmen present
voting aye.
° Mr. R. B. Kemp was present regarding error on tax amounting to
$13.48. Mr. Kemp was requested to pay tax and submit a written protest
against same.
°Communication from Mr. Allen 0. Greenig requesting permission to
operate Popcorn and Peanut stand on corner of 9th and National next to
Pay'n Takit Store.AIMoved by Waddell, seconded by Thatcher that Mr.
Greenig be allowed to operate this stand. Carried.

' Councilman Wade reported that dangerous corner at Division and
Palm Avenue had been taken care of.
o Matter of letting tide -land lease to Mr. S. F. Beers was laid
over till next meeting.
• City Attorney reported on Assessments at Division Street and
Palm Avenue, stating he believed controversey could be settled more
easily by a chsh settlement, rather than by taking over bonds against
property. Moved by Pettit, seconded by Wade, that the City Attorney
be authorized to make a cash settlement not to exceed $150.00.
Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye, with the exception of
Mayor Requa who was not voting.
o Councilman Wade stated he would like to have proceedings re -:flowed
on the opening of 7th Avenue from 13th Street to the North City
limits. Moved by Made, seconded by Waddell, that the City Attorney
be instructed to recnew negotiations with the proper authorities.
Carried.
• Moved by Waddell, seconded by Wade, that the action taken
March 24, 1931, regarding calling for bids on City Printing, be -
rescinded. Carried.
`Moved by Waddell, seconded by Wade, that the traffic officers
be allowed gasoline,.and oil for motorcycles for a period of three
months beginning November 16, 1932. Carried, by the following vote.
Ayes, Councilmen Pettit, Thatcher, Wade and Waddell. No, Councilman
Requa.
("Councilman Waddell stated he believed a meeting should be
held with the Chula Vista Council regarding proposed formal conplaint
to Railroad Commission on excessive water rates, the other members
of the Council agreeing Mayor Requa 2g to arrange the meeting with
Mayor Doan of Chula Vista.
Moved by Pettit, seconded by Wade, that the Council adjourn.
Carried.
