Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. 226. 'Mr. E. P. Sample was present requesting that the Dance Hall Ordinance be amended to read 550.00 per year instead of 5300.00. No action taken. IL. S. Brown was present requesting that lights be turned on at the playground Friday November 6th and 13th for indoor base- ball games. ]loved by Bird, secondedbby Waddell that the request be granted. Carried. •Petition of Chas. Stein to remove two trees located at 9th Street and Second ; Avenue, accompanied by a deposit of $10.00, was read. (loved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that the petition be granted. Carried. .Communication from Asa R. Webb, requesting a refund of $43.09, being amount paid covering taxes on Lots 1, 3, 4 and 5 Block 1, Loziers Subdivision in 10 Acre Lot 10, Quarter Section 154, Nat'l Ro., was read. .RESOLUTION NO. 1664, authorizing refund of taxes and cancellation of certain taxes was read. Roved by F1rd, seconded by Cordingly that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. •Report of the City Judge for the month of October 1931 «zas read, and ordered filed. 'Communication from Wm. V. Minteer, presenting demand for refund of tax for the year 1928 for property in the nane of Harold C. Dewey was read and referred to the City Attorney. .Petition of property owners for street light at 2nd Avenue and 18th Street was read and referred to the Street Committee. 'Petition of the Sweetnater Union nigh School District to have E Avenue closed between 18th Street and 16th Street was read and referred to the Street Committee. *Communication from Robert H. Scholer Post 2111, Veterans of Foreign Wars requesting tnat the City purchase advertising through their drum and bugle corps in the amount of $35.00 for one year, was read and referred to the City Attorney. 'RESOLUTION No. 1665, authorizing payment of bonded indebt- edness due November 1, 1931,amounting to ;p1650.00 was read. Idoved by Cordingly seconded by Bird that the Resolution be adopted. Carried,all Councilmen present voting, aye. 2Z7. .Matters, of the neon sign and Plasterer's Ordinance were laid over. Moved by Cordingly,seconded by Waddell, that the Council adjourn. Carried.
