Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. 68. .Petition of Park Service Station, 1240 National Avenue, to install gasoline storage tank, was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Cordingly, that the petition be granted, work to be done under the supervision of the Fire Chief. Carried. .Petition of J. W. Moore, accompanied by deposit of $40.00 to remove eight Eucalyptus trees at 5th Street and I Avenue, was read'and referred to the Street Superintendent. .Petition of Aber & Rutherford, regarding property at 26th Street and D Avenue for street purposes, was read and referred to the City Attorney. .Communication from the Fire Marshal regarding increasing the fire department was read and laid over. .Report of the Recorder for month df March 1930 was read and ordered filed. ,Communication from Daley Corporation, enclosing assignment of contract of the Butterfield Construction Company, dated Feb. 11, 1930, for paving portions of D Avenue, 16th Street and L Avenue, and requesting extension of thirty days time in which to complete contract, was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that Daley Corporation be granted extension of thirty days time in which to complete contract of Butterfield Construction Company. Carried. 4 -ORDINANCE NO. 600, Providing license for peddling bread, rolls, cakes, etc. was placed on final passage, and on motion by Bird, seconded by Cordiroly, same adopted, all Councilmen present voting aye. ,Bond of Earl J. Davis, Master Plumber, presented. Moved by Bird, seconded by Murray, that the bond be approved, accgpted and ordered filed. Carried. Moved by Cordtngly, seconded by Fritz, that the Council adjourn.
