Regular adjourned meeting of the City Council called to order
by the Mayor. Councilmen present- Bird, Coburn, Cordingly,
Waddell, Requa.
Minutes of regular meeting October 21, 1930 and adjourned
meeting October 28, 1930, read and approved.

Loved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the bills be allowed
and warrants ordered drawn for same. Carried, all Councilmen
present voting aye.
Joe Vurgason present, requesting that some action be taken
regarding advertising for printing. Moved by Cordingly, seconded
by Coburn, that a committee be appointed to investigate the
matter and prepare specifications for advertising. Carried.
The Mayor appointed the following as committee: City Attorney,
Cler, Engineer, Treasurer, Chief of Police, Fire Chien and
Superintendent of Street.

-Communication from the Calaveras Rock Corporation,
regarding loss of warrant No. 15515 was read. Moved by Bird,
seconded by Coburn, that warrant No. 15515, for $115.98, be
cancelled and payment ordered stopped at Bank and that duplicate
warrant be issued, upon the Calaveras Rock Corporation filing
a bond in the sum of $125.00. Carried.
-Communication from the Dawson Funeral Home, requesting,
to place concrete urns in parking at Southeast corner of
National Avenue and Sixth Street, for purpose of planting
flowering plants etc., was read and laid over.
.Communication from F. G. Barnard, regarding sale of Lot
339 Lincoln Acres Annex No. 2, was read. City Clerk instructed
to answer same.
.Communication from the 5. D. & Arizona Ry. Co., regarding
warning signs, read and referred to the St. Supt.
.The communication from the Dawson Funeral Home taken up
and referred to the Street Superintendent.
',Report of the Recorder for the Month of October 1930,
read and ordered filed.
.The Kelco Co., requested temporary permit to install
siding of the A. T. & S. F. Ry. Co.
.RESOLUTION NO. 1598 , granting the Kelco Co., a
temporary permit to install siding was read. Moved by Bird,
seconded by Coburn that the Resolution be adopted. Carried
all Councilmen present voting aye.
,Moved Cordingly, seconded by Coburn, that a warrant be
drawn on the General Fund in favor of T. B. Cosgrove for $187.50,
being National City's portion of retainer fee account special
work in water litigation. Carried all Councilmen voting aye.
,Police Committee given further time regarding increase
in salary to H. T. McCue.
,Bond of Freeman R. Milburn, Master Plumber, presented.
Moved by Cordingly seconded by Bird, That the Bond be approved,
accepted and ordered filed. Carried.

`RESOLUTION NO. 1599, Authorizing payment of Bonded In-
debtedness due November 1, 1930, amounting to $1687.50, was
read. Moved by Cordingly seconded by Coburn, that the Resolu-
tion be adopted. Carried all Councilmen present voting aye.
,Street Superintendent Hill stated he would start on his
vacation next week and requested that a committee be appointed
to investigate the bettering of conditions at the City Barns.
Referred to the Street Committee.
,City Clerk announced that Margaret Bencini had resigned;
also Alice M. Pecka and requested the appointment of Katherine
King as deputy City Clerk, effective November 13, 1930, at a
salary of $75.00 per month. Moved by Cordingly seconded by
Coburn, that Katherine King be appointed Deputy City Clerk,
effective November 13, 1930, salary of $75.00 per month,
payable by warrant on the General Fund on the first of each
month. Carried.
JResignation of L. N. Turrentine, effective immediately,
as City Attorney, was read. Moved by Bird seconded by Cordingly
that the resignation be accepted. Carried.
'Moved by Bird seconded by Coburn that the Council adjourn.
Carried.
