Councilmen present- Bird, Coburn, Cordingly, Waddell, Requa. Minutes of regular adjourned meeting of November 3, 1930, and meeting of November 4, 1930 read and approved. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. .The following applictions for City Attorney presented: Ernest N. Clark, Johnson W. Puterbaugh, J. H. Langston, Y. A. Jacques W. E. Hardenburg, J. A. Isaacson. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Waddell, that Johnson W. Puterbaugh be appointed city Attorney effective November 18, 1930. Carried. ,Petition of H. J. Clippinger to have trees trimmed was read and referred to the Superintendent of Streets. .Communication from W. E. Flack regarding 1930 Community Christmas tree was read. Moved by Coburn, Seconded by 'ordingly that Councilman Bird be appointed to act on this committee. Carried. 127. -Communication from National City Chamber of Commerce regarding Cbmmunity Calendar Conference was read. Moved By Coburn, by that the Mayor be appointed committee to represent the City. Carried. .The Police Committee recommended that the salary of Harry T. McCue be increased to $150.00 per month effective December 1st 1930. v-RESOLUTION NO. 1600, fixing the salary of Harry T. McCue at 6150.00 per month payable on the first and fifteenth day of each calender month was read. Moved by Waddell, seconded by Coburn that the resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen - present voting aye. vRESOLUTION No. 1601, appointing B. J. Gauteraux, superintendent of City plunge and fixing his salary was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Coburn,that the resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. / -RESOLUTION NO. 1602, accepting deed of S. M. Jensen and wife for land for street purposes on l6th Street was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. %RESOLUTION NO. 1603, directing the City Engineer to furnish diagram for the grading and other improvements of Portions of L Avenue and Twenty Fourth Street, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that the resolution be adopted. Carried, all Councilmen present voting aye. .The following bids for applying Stucco to the dressing rooms at swimming pool in City park were opened, examined and publicly declared: R. J. Newnham, 6325.50; Clifford Ellis, $1.15 per yard; Royal S. Wade, $1.30 per sq. yard; John R. Orvin,$219.24, price per sq. yd. 87¢; D. W. Moyer, 90¢ per yardror complete job $220.00; H. G. Addis, $1.40 per sq. yard. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that the bids be referred to the City Engineer. Carried. ✓RESOLUTION NO. 1604, approving diagram furnished by the City Engineer for the grading and other improvements of L Avenue and Twenty Fourth Street, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that the resolution be adopted. Carried, all councilmen 128. present voting aye. .Moved by Waddell, seconded by Coburn, that the City furnish five guns for - use of the police department, not to exceed a cost of $40.00 per gun.
