warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.
,Mt. Chas. Stein was present regarding making E Avenue
a sixty foot street south of 18th Street. No action was taken.
Application of the Sunset Pacific 0i1 Company for wharf
franchise was presented and referred to the City Attorney.
.The following bids received for the paving and other
improvement of Alleys in Thelen's Re -Subdivision, Excelsior Place,
Block 1, Coombes Place and portions of First Street, were opened,
examined and publicly declared:

'Petition of Metropolitan Securities Company to grade,
sidewalk and curb First Street between J and L Avenues, was
read and referred to the City Engineer.
.The Street Superintendent reported that the trees
planted by Chas. Arnell were growing nicely. Moved by Bird,
seconded by Cordingly, that the proper officers draw a warrant
,on the General Fund for $35.00 in favor of Chas. Arnell, being
refund of deposit for removal of trees. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
.Moved by Murray, seconded by Bird, that the petition
of Robt. S. Porter to remove two trees on Division Street be
granted. Carried.
.Contract of the Richfield Oil Company for furnishing
gasoline from Feb. 21, 1929 to Feb. 20, 1932, presented and
ordered filed.
'ORDINANCE NO. 595, Amending Ordinance No. 506, relating
to and regulating Plumbing, was placed on final passage, and on
motion by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, same adopted, all Trustees
present voting aye.
,ORDINANCE NO. , Repealing Ordinance No. 560,
providing for Boulevard Stops, was read. Moved by Bird, seconded
by Cordingly, that it be introduced and laid over under the rules
and according to law. Carried.

, An Ordinance providing for Boulevard
Stops in the City of National City, was read. Moved by Fritz,
seconded by Bird, that it be introduced and laid over under the
rules and according to law. Carried.
Bond of W. C. Newlin, Master Plumber, presented. Moved
by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that the Bond be approved, accepted
and ordered filed. Carried.

,RESOLUTION NO. 1414, Accepting Deed of Metropolitan
Securities Company for land for street purposes on First Street,
was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Murray, that the Resolution

be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
RESOLUTION i10. 1415, Ordering final payment to Ben
Pearce under contract dated Dec. 27, 1928, for paving portions
of First Avenue, West Avenue and Sixteenth Street, amounting to
$1,010.84, was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Cordingly,
that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.
,ORDINANCE NO. , Regarding storage, etc. of inflammable
liquids in the City of National City was laid over.
,The matter of the grade on Fifteenth Street between D
and F Avenues was referred to the City Engineer.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that the Board
adjourn. Carried.
