Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to order
by the City Clerk. Trustees present- Bird, Cordingly, Fritz,
Murray. Trustee Addis absent.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that Trustee Murray
act as President Pro Tem. Carried.
Minutes of regular meeting of November 19, 1929, read and
approved.

warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.
,Petition of property owners requesting that Lanoitan Avenue
from 16th Street to 24th Street, and 24th Street from Lanoitan

Avenue to Granger Avenue be graded and paved with macadam, was
read and ordered filed.
,Petition of C. T. Short to install gasoline tanks at Lots
21 and 22, Block 53, was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz,
that the petition be granted, work to be done under the super-
vision of the Fire Chief. Carried.
•Communication from H. P. Scheuerman & Company regarding
insurance, was read and ordered filed.
.Communication from the Library Board stating that Mrs.
Silver had resigned, and requesting that Mrs. C. Short be
appointed to fill out the unexpired term, was read and laid over
to the next meeting.
.Communication from Mrs. L. M. Erwin regarding the removal
of the Animal Rescue League, was read and ordered filed.
.Mrs. Dowell was present and stated that the Animal Rescue
League had secured land in the La Jolla canyon, and would move
within three months or less.
.Communication from San Diego County Welfare Commission
requesting the cancellation of taxes on property formerly owned
by Wm. Flaherty, was read and referred to the City Clerk.
,Communication from Veteran's Welfare Board, Sacramento,
requesting the cancellation of taxes on property assessed to
Frederick C. Blodgett, was read and ordered filed.
.Communication from Governor C. C. Young regarding work to
be done for the ensuing year, was read and referred to the City
Engineer.
•Communication from National City Chamber of Commerce
regarding removal of Animal Rescue League, was read and ordered
filed.
.Report of the Recorder for month of November, 1929, read
and ordered filed.
•Petition of Ben Pearce Contracting Co. Inc, for extension
of ninety days time in which to complete contract for the improve-
ment of 16th Street, lath Street and L Avenue,cas read.

;RESOLUTION NO. 1498, Granting Ben Pearce Contracting Co.
Inc. extension of ninety days time in which to complete contract
for the improvement of 16th Street, 18th Street and L Avenue,
was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Cordingly, that the Reso-
lution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
!RESOLUTION NO. 1499, Authorizing and directing the President
of the Board of Trustees to cause the necessary data to be pre-
pared, and to file application with the State Board of Health for
sewer system, was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly,
that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.
,Communication from San Diego Chamber of Commerce regarding
efforts to have the San Diego Customs Collection District re-
established, and requesting the adoption of enclosed Resolution,
was read and ordered filed.
RESOLUTION NO. 1500, Urging the re-establishment of the
San Diego Headquarters for a Customs Collection District, com-
prising San Diego and Imperial Counties, was read. Moved by
Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried.
'Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the City Attorney
be instructed to start proceedings to acquire title to the un-
deeded portions of L Avenue from 18th to 26th Streets. Carried.
Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the Board adjourn.
Carried.
