,Petition of Chas. Arnell accompanied by deposit of $35.00
to remove seven trees at 5th Street and I Avenue, was read. Moved
by Murray, seconded by Cordingly, that the petition be granted.
Carried.
'The Street Superintendent reported that he was working
to remedy conditions on 2nd Avenue between 15th and l6th Streets.
Moved by Murray, seconded by Cordingly, that the 101 highway
markebs be placed on National Avenue. Carried.
,Bond of W. Q. Willis, Master Plumber, presented. Moved by
Murray, seconded by Cordingly, that the Bond be approved, accepted
and ordered filed. Carried.

,ORDINANCE NO. , Amending Ordinance No. 506, regulat-
ing plumbing, etc. was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by
Murray, that it be introduced and laid over under the rules and
according to law. Carried.
,Trustee Bird arrived.
RESOLUTION NO. 1386, Ordering City Engineer to prepare
plans and specifications for paving and other improvement of
Alleys in Thelen's Re -Subdivision, Excelsior Place, Block.l
Coombes Place, and portions of First Street, was read. Moved
by Fritz, seconded by Murray, that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
',RESOLUTION NO. 1387, Approving and adopting plans and
specifications for paving and other improvement of Alleys in
Thelen's Re -Subdivision, Excelsior Place, Block 1 Coombes Place,
and portions of First Street, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded
by Murray, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
,Estimate of City Engineer of quantities for the paving and
other improvement of the Alleys in Thelen's Re -Subdivision,
Excelsior Place, Block 1 Coombes Place, and portions of F$ st
Street, was read and ordered filed.
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1388, for the paving and other
improvement of Alleys in Thelen's Re -Subdivision, Excelsior Place,
Block 1 Coombes Place, and portions of First Street, was read.
Moved by Bird, seconded by Murray, that the Resolution -be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.

Ben Pearce under contract dated Dec. 27, 1928, for the paving
of portions of First Avenue, West Avenue and Sixteenth Street, was_
read and ordered filed.
"RESOLUTION NO. 1389, Approving estimate of City Engineer
and authorizing payment of $3,032.54 to Ben Pearce under contract
dated Dec. 27, 1928, for the paving of portions of First Avenue,
West Avenue and Sixteenth Street, was read. Moved by Murray,
seconded by Cordingly, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried,
all Trustees present voting aye.

RESOLUTION NO. 1390, Accepting all work of Ben Pearce
under contract dated Dec. 27, 1928, for paving of portions of
First Avenue, West Avenue and Sixteenth Street, was read. Moved
by Fritz, seconded by Cordingly, that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
;RESOLUTION NO. 1391, Directing City Engineer to furnish
diagram for paving and other improvement of portions of First
Avenue between Fourteenth and Sixteenth Streets, was read. Moved
by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
'RESOLUTION NO. 1392, Approving diagram of City Engineer
for paving and other improvement of portions of First Avenue
between Fourteenth and Sixteenth Streets, was read. Moved by
Fritz, seconded by Bird, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried,
all Trustees present voting aye.
RESOLUTION NO. 1393, Authorizing payment of bonded indebted-
ness due Feb. 15, 1929, amounting to 08,625.00 was read. Moved
by Bird, seconded by Murray, that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
1.RESOLUTION NO. 1394, ORDERING WORK of improvement of llth
and 12th Streets, A, B, C Avenues and Alleys, was read. Moved by
Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
;RESOLUTION NO. 1395, Appointing P. T. Mizony Deputy City
Assessor, was read. Moved by Frita, seconded by Murray, that the
Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
•Communicationsfrom Shell 0i1 Company, Union 0i1 Company
and Richfield Oil Company regarding furnishing gasoline to City,
were read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that the President
of the Board of Trustees and City Clerk be authorized to sign a
contract with the Richfield 0i1 Company of California for furnishing
gasoline for period of three years at 121 per gallon. Carried, all
Trustees present voting aye.
.Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that the City Attorney
be instructed to notify Mr. I.I. Irwin that if he does not replace

all sidewalk in bad condition at the South 75 feet of East 150
feet of South one-half of Block 2, Subdivision of 20 Acre Lot 4,
o Section 131, by private contract, same will be put in by public
contract and assessed against the property. Carried.
F. P. Reed requested permission to install gasoline tank
on 19th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues. Moved by Murray,
seconded by Cordingly, that the request be denied. Carried.
Moved by Bird, seconded by Murray, that the Board adjourn.
