Trustees present- Bird, Fritz, Murray, Addis. Trustee Cordingly absent. Minutes of regular adjourned meeting of January 2, 1929, read and approved. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. /Agreement of Union Oil Company to furnish gasoline for a period of one year from Jan. 7, 1929, was presented and referred to the Finance Committee. Communication from Julia Ely requesting reimbursement of $11.50 paid out by her for dirt in alley, was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that the request be denied. Carried. .The hour of eight o'clock P.M. having arrived, the President of the Board of Trustees stated that it was the time 252. and place for hearing of protests against the improvement of P Avenue between 4th and 18th Streets,as shown in Resolution of Intention No. 1372,and asked if any one present desired to protest against the proposed improvement. There being none, the City Clerk stated that no written protests had been filed and filed his certificate so stating. {RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK NO. 1376, for the grading of portions of P Avenue between 4th and 18th Streets, was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. ,Petition of J. C. Bailey for increase in salary was read and referred to the Finance Committee. ,Petition of Enrique Garibay for license to operate pool tables and card tables at 1820 6th Avenue, was read and referred to the Police Committee. RESOLUTION NO. 1377, requesting appropriation by the State of not less than $65,000.00 for the establishment and maintenance of the proper and necessary facilities regarding sewage and waste disposal, was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Bird, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. ,Reports of the City Clerk and City Treasurer for quarter ending December 31, 1928, presented and ordered filed. ,Moved by Murray, seconded by Bird, that the proper officers draw a warrant upon the Park Maintenance & Improvement Fund in favor of George M. and Louise M. Todd for 02150.00, same to be delivered to Trustee Alex Murray and deposited by him with the Southern Title and Trust Company, in accordance with Escrow Agreement No. 85408 for the purchase by the City of the E * of 10 Acre Lot 6, * Sec- tion 154, Rancho de la Nacion. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. iBonds of John W. Gardner, C. L. Crain and Jesse 0. Whitt, Master Plumbers, presented. Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the Bonds be approved, accepted and ordered filed. Carried. ,Bond of Robert Lee, Sidewalk Builder, presented. Moved 253. by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the Bond be approved, accepted and ordered filed. Carried. IRESOLUTION NO. 1378, Directing City Engineer to furnish diagram for the paving of portions of 2nd Street between Highland and Laurel Avenues, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Bird, that the Resolut&on be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. RESOLUTION NO. 1379, Approving diagram of City Engineer for the paving of portions of 2nd Street between Highland and Laurel Avenues, was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Murray,that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that the Board adjourn. Carried.
