Trustees present- Bird, Cordingly, Fritz, Murray, Addis. Minutes of regular meeting of June 4, 1929, read and approved. The following bills, audited by the Finance Committee, presented: P. T. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. - Communication from C. B. Grove asking for an extension of sixty days time for completion of the grading of portions of P Avenue between 4th and 18th Streets, was read and ordered filed. RESOLUTION NO. 1440, Granting C. B. Grove extension of sixty days time for the completion of grading portions of P Avenue between 4th and 18th Streets, was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Cord- ingly, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. •Report of the City Engineer on petition for the grading of Palm Avenue between Division and 4th Streets, showing same signed 293. by 64% of the frontage, was read and ordered filed. •Moved by Bird, seconded by Murray, that the City Attorney and City Engineer prepare plans and specifications for the grading of Palm Avenue between Division and 4th Streets. Carried. ORDINANCE NO. 598, An Ordinance governing the -storage, hand- ling, etc. of inflammable liquids was placed on final passage, and on motion by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, same adopted, all Trus_ tees present voting aye. •The City Engineer recommended that the matter of making K Avenue between 18th and 24th Streets a 60 foot street and the closing of 21st Street between B and D Avenues be referred to the Planning Commission. 1Moved by Curdingly, seconded by Murray, that the petition for making K Avenue a 60 foot street from 18th to 24th Streets. and the petition for closing 21st Street between B and D Avenues be referred to the Planning Commission. Carried. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. 'RESOLUTION NO. 1442, Directing the City Engineer to furnish diagram for the improvement of llth and 12th Streets, A, B, C Ave- nues and Alleys, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Murray, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. RESOLUTION NO. 1443, Approving diagram of the City Engineer for the improvement of llth and 12th Streets, A, B, C Avenues and Alleys, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Bird, that -the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all"Trustees present voting aye. ';RESOLUTION NO. 1444, Authorizing payment of interest due July 2, 1929 on Street Bond No. 93, Series 23, was read. -Moved by Bird, seconded by Murray, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present votng aye. 296. RESOLUTION NO. 1445, Directing the City Engineer to furnish diagram for the improvement of the Alleys in Thelen's Re -Subdivision, Excelsior Place, Block 1, Coombes Place and por- tions of 1st Street, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Murray, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried,a 11 Trustees present voting aye. .Moved by Murray, seconded by Bird, that the Street Superintendent be instructed to purchase forty boulevard stop signals, as requested. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye, •Report of the City Engineer on bids for -the grading and other improvement of portions of D Avenue between 18th and 30th Streets, and recommending acceptance of the bid of Olof Nelson was read and ordered filed. 'RESOLUTION OF AWARD NO. 1446, awarding the contract to Olof Nelson for the grading and other improvement of portions of D Avenue between 18th and 30th Streets, was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Murray, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. ,The matter of auditing the books was referred to the Finance Committee with power to act.
