Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to order
by the President. Trustees present- Bird,Cordingly, Fritz,
Murray and Addis.
Minutes of regular meeting of February 19, 1929, read and
approved.

and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
.Mr. Rossiter was present regarding the opening of "G" Avenue
from 16th to 14th Streets. Moved by Murray, seconded by Bird,
that it be referred to the City Engineer and Superintendent of
Streets. Carried.
.Mrs. Annie Metcalf was present regarding condition of Alley
in Homeland Park Subdivision. Same was referred to the Street
Department.
.The following bids received for the improvement of llth and
12th Streets, A, B, C Avenues and Alleys were opened, examined
and publicly declared:

•It now being the time set for hearing appeals in the
matter of Assessment No. 56 for the paving of portions of 2nd
Street between Highland and Laurel Avenues, same was taken up
and concluded.
4.RESOLUTION NO. 1396, Denying and overruling appeal of
Leslie H. Peter from Assessment for paving portions Of 2nd
Street between Highland and Laurel Avenues, was read. Moved by
Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried,
all Trustees present voting aye.
1.RESOLUTION NO. 1397, Confirming Superintendent of Streets't
Assessment No. 56 for the paving of portions of 2nd Street be-
tween Highland and Laurel Avenues was read. Moved by Bird,
seconded by Cordingly, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried,
all Trustees present voting aye.
.Dr. Carl S. Owen was present regarding the closing of 17th
Street and E Avenue between 16th and 18th Streets and D and G
Avenues. Same was referred to the City Engineer.
•Representatives of the Receivers of the California -Eastern
0i1 Company were present regarding lease or franchise for tide-
lands. No action was taken.
.Report of the City Engineer on bids for improvement of
llth•and 12th Streets, A, B, C Avenues and Alleys, recommending
acceptance of bid of Olof Nelson, was read and ordered filed.
-RESOLUTION OF AWARD NO. 1398, awarding contract to Olof
Nelson for improvement of llth and 12th Streets, A, B, C Avenues
and Alleys, was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Bird, that the
Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.

.Communication from Metropolitan Securities Company offering
to deed a portion of the East one-half of 20 Acre Lot 1, * Section
131 for street purposes was read and referred to the City Engineer.
'Communication from San Diego Public Safety Committee regard-
ing conditions on National Avenue South of the Fire Station was
read and referred to the Police Department.
,Communication from James A. Bird submitting Ordinance
regarding the handling of inflammable liquids, was read and
referred to the Fire Department.
.Report of the Recorder for month of February 1929 was
read and ordered filed.
.Report of the City Marshal for month of February 1929
was read and ordered filed.
,Bonds of W. B. Morton and Lloyd Murray, Master Plumbers,
were presented. Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the
Bonds be approved, accepted and ordered filed. Carried.
.ORDINANCE NO.
, Amending Ordinance No. 506,
regulating plumbing, etc. was laid over.
RESOLUTION NO. 1399, Authorizing cancellation of Bond
No. 12, Series F, was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Bird,
that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.
KRESOLUTION NO. 1400, Accepting Subordination Agreement
executed by Bank of Italy regarding mortgage made by Nannie
Kammerer, was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Bird, that
the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting
aye.
RESOLUTION NO. 1401, Accepting Subordination Agreement
executed by E. Elizabeth Crosier regarding mortgage made by
Trusten Polk and Wife, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded
by Murray, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
RESOLUTION NO. 1402, Accepting Subordination Agreement
executed by Emil Folda regarding mortgage made by F. J. Marchand,
was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Cordingly, that the

Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
'RESOLUTION NO. 1403, Accepting Easement of Sweetwater Union
High School District for right of way on D Avenue was read. Moved
by Fritz, seconded by Cordingly, that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
,Moved by Bird, seconded by Murray, that the matter of a
franchise with the San Diego Consolidated Gas"& Electric Company
and the Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Company be referred to the
City Attorney. Carried.
Moved by Bird, seconded by Murray, that the Board adjourn.
