Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to order
by the President. Trustees present- Bird, Cordingly, Fritz,
Addis. Trustee Murray absent.
Minutes of regular meeting of November 5, 1929, read and
approved.

Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the bills be allowed
and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
.Copy of letter written by the City Attorney to the Animal
Rescue League regarding the closing of same, was read and ordered
filed.
-Petition of citizens requesting that the Animal Rescue
League at Highland Avenue and loth Street be allowed to remain
at its present location, was read and ordered filed.
.After considerable discussion for and against the maintenance
of the Animal Rescue League, the matter was laid over until the
next meeting, at which time Mrs. Dowell stated she would give a
definite answer as to when same would be removed.
.Petition of H. D. Bullen, accompanied by deposit of y 5.00
to remove one Eucalyptus tree at the corner of "I" Avenue and
6th Street, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz,
that the petition be granted. Carried.

.Communication from the California Real Estate Association
regarding taxes, etc., was read and ordered filed.
.Communication from the Kiwanis Club regarding Community
Christmas Tree, and requesting that some member of the Board be
appointed to act with this Committee, was read. The Chairman
appointed Trustee Cordingly to act on such Committee.
'Petition of J. Ushio to operate card tables and pool hall
at 1712 7th Avenue, was read and referred to the Police Department.
•Petition of Lincoln Acres Parent Teachers Association for the
grading, etc. of Lanoitan Avenue between 16th and 24th Streets, was
read and referred to the Street Department.
':RESOLUTION NO. 1493, Directing the City Engineer to furnish_
diagram for the improvement of D Avenue between 18th and 30th
Streets, was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the
Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
'RESOLUTION NO. 1494, Approving diagram of the City Engineer
for the improvement of D Avenue between 18th and 30th Streets, was
read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Bird, that the Resolution be
adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
'RESOLUTION NO. 1495, Ordering the City Engineer to prepare
plans and specifications for the grading of portions of Palm Avenue,
Fairmount Avenue and Division Street, was read. Moved by Bird,
seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all
Trustees present voting aye.
;RESOLUTION NO. 1496, Approving and adopting plans and speci-
fications and approving plat of district for the grading of portions
of Palm Avenue, Fairmount Avenue and Division Street, was read.
Moved by Fritz, seconded by Bird, that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
%Estimate of quantities for the improvement of portions of
Palm Avenue, Fairmount Avenue and Division Street, was read and
ordered filed.
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1497, for thegrading of portions
of Palm Avenue, Fairmount Avenue and Division Street, was read.._ .

Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the Board adjourn.
