National City, California, October 15, 1929.
Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to order
by the President. Trustees present- Bird, Fritz, Murray, Addis,
and Cordingly.
Minutes of regular meeting of October 1, 1929, read and
approved.
The following bills, audited by the Finance Committee,
presented:

•1&. Waddell representing the Highway LightHouse Company
of'Ne w York City, was present regarding the errection of tight
Standards precaution signals. The same was continued.
,It now being the time set for the hearing of protests in
- the matter of Assessments No. 59 for the improvement of llth and:
12th Streets, A, B, and C Avenues and Alleys Same was taken
up and concluded.
•The protest of Isabella H. and Mary C. Hilditch filled
October 14, 1929 was read.

Resolution No. 1484 over -ruling the protests of IsabellaH. &
Mary C. Hilditch was read. Moved by Murray and seconded by
Cordingly that the resolution by adopted. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
Resolution No. 1485 approving andconfirming Assessment No.
59 for the improvement of llth and 12th Streets, A, S, C, Avenues
and Alleys was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Murray
that resoluion be adopted. Carried, all Truste es present
voting aye.
•Mr. Dale Stith was present regarding the conditions of
16th Street Same was refered to the Street Department.
,Petition of the National O'ity Library for funds was read.
Moved by Murray, seconded by Bird that the sum_'. of $500.00 be
transfered from the General Sand to the Library Fund and the
proper Officials make the necessary entries -upon their records.
.Petition of Harry McCue for an increase in Salary was read,
and ordered filed.
,Pe tition of Lila Williams for insurance was read and ordered
filed.
.Communication of C. E. Hoover, expressing the thanks of
National City Camp No. 16,769, Modern Woodman of America for the
use of the Streets October 12, 1929 was read and ordered filed.
.Communication of Edna W. Snook regarding the establishment
of a Health Center was read and ordered filed.
-Communication of Samuel M. West regarding the improvement
of 16th Street from Palm Avenue to Grove Street was read and
refered to the City Engineer.
'Reports of the City Clerk and the City Treasurer for the
quarter ending September 30, 1929, ' presented and ordered
filed.
'Resolution No. 1486 accepting the Deed of Charles and Bert ha
Stein for land for Street purposes was read. Moved by Bird,
seconded by Murray that the resolution bp adopted. Carried,
all Trustees voting ago.

.The Bond of Joe A. Eller, Sidewald Builder, was presented!.
Moved by Bird, Seconded by Fritz that the Bond be approved,
accepted and ordered filed. Carried,
,Petition of Olof Nelson requesting an extension of thirty days
time too=gxastad for the improvement of Ilth & 12th Street, A, B,
and C, Avenues and Alleys was read.
'Resolution No. 1487 granting Olof Nelson an: extension of
thirty days time for the improvement of llth & 12th Streets, A,
B, and O, Avenues and Alleys was read. Move& by Fritz and seconded
by Bird that resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.

of First Street was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Cordingly
that resolution by adopted. Carrel, all Trustees present voting aye.
.Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Murray that Fire Hydrants
be installed at the following points: one at N. E. corner of
5th,Street and Sanitarium Avenue, one an Palm Avenue where 12th
Street if extended would cross same. Carried, all Trustees voting
aye.
Roved by Cordingly, seconded by Frit z that the Board adjorn.
Carried.
