Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to order
by the City Clerk. Trustees present- Cordingly, Fritz, Murray.
Trustee Addis absent. Trustee Bird late.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that Trustee Murray
act as President pro tem. Carried.
Minutes of regular meeting of August 20, 1929, read and
approved.

.The City Recorder was present -and requested that an audit

of his books be made. The matter was referred to the Finance
Committee.
,Mr. H. P. Scheuerman was present complaing of chickens on
B Avenue and loth Street. The matter was referred to the Health
Department.
.Communication from Wilson Sharp regarding conditions on
Prospect Street between l8th and 22nd-Streets, was read and ordered
filed, and referred back t o the Superintendent of Streets.
Trustee Bird arrived.
.Dr. Cordua was present regarding the establishment of a
health center. A meeting was arranged for Friday, Sept. 6, at
10 o'clock A. M. at the National City Chamber of Commerce. The
President appointed the members of the Board of Health as a com-
mittee to meet with her.
,Mr. Fred Erb was present complaining of conditions at 5th
Street and B Avenue. Same was referred to the Street Department.
,Report of the Recorder for month of August 1929 was read
and ordered filed.
'The Police Department reported that the practice of blowing
steam on cottages on water front had been abated.
.ORDIrIANCE NO. 599, An Ordinance fixing the rate at $1.95
per hundred dollars valuation and levying the taxes for the fiscal
year 1929-1930 was placed on final passage, and on motion by Bird,
seconded by Cordingly, same adopted, all Trustees present voting aye.
•RESOLUTION NO. 1474, Directing the City Clerk to notify the
Potter Radiator Corporation that rental for tidelands lease is past
due , was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that the
Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that the Board adjourn.
Carried.
