Regular adjourned meeting of the Board of Trustees
called to order by the President. Trustees present- Bird,
Cordingly, Fritz, Murray and Addis.
Minutes of regular meeting of April 17, 1928, read and
approved.
.Resignation of E. M. Wright, City Marshal, effective
April 30, 1928, was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly,
that the resignation be accepted. Carried.
.Report of the City Engineer on bids for the paving
of portions of the width of Streets and Avenues North of loth
Street and East of 1st Avenue, recommending the acceptance of
the bid of Griffith Company, was read and ordered filed.

other improvement of Streets, Avenues and Alleys North of loth
Street and East of 1st Avenue, recommending the acceptance of
the bid of Griffith Company was read and ordered filed.
RESOLUTION OF AWARD NO. 1260, Awarding the contract
to Griffith Company for the paving of portions of the width
of Streets and Avenues East of 1st Avenue and North of loth
Street, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Bird, that the
Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
,RESOLUTION OF AWARD NO. 1261, Awarding the contract
to Griffith Company for the paving and other improvement of
Streets, Avenues and Alleys North of loth Street and East of
1st Avenue, was read. Moved by Frita, seconded by Murray,
that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.
RESOLUTION NO. 1262, Approving and adopting the plans and
specifications, etc. for paving portions of Second Street, Laurel
Avenue, Fourth Street, P Avenue and D Avenue with Portland cement
concrete pavement was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly,
that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.

'RESOLUTION NO. 1263, Directing the City Clerk to advertise
for bids for paving portions of Second Street, Laurel Avenue, Fourth
Street, P Avenue and D Avenue with Portland cement concrete paves
ment, was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the
Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
J.RESOLUTION NO. 1264, Approving and adopting plans and
specifications, etc. for the paving of portions of Second Street,
Laurel Avenue, Fourth Street, P Avenue and D Avenue with Asphaltic
concrete pavement, was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz,
that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.
4.RESOLUTION NO. 1265, Directing the City Clerk to advertise
for bids for paving portions of Second Street, Laurel Avenue,
Fourth Street, P Avenue and D Avenue with Asphaltic concrete
pavement, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that
the Resolution be adopted. earned, all Trustees present voting
aye.
;ORDINANCE NO. 584, Amending Section 10 of Ordinance No.
578, regulating MeatMarkets, etc., was placed on final passage,
and on motion by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, same adopted by the
following vote: Ayes, Trustees Bird, Cordingly, Fritz, Addis;
Nay, Trustee Murray.
ORDINANCE NO. 585, Amending Sections 2 and 3 of Ordinance
No. 583, regulating Food Handling, etc., was placed on final
passage, and on motion by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, same
adopted by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Bird, Cordingly,
Fritz, Addis; Nay, Trustee Murray.
.Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the Street
Superintendent be instructed to request all contractors receiving
contracts in this City for local improvement to employ as much
local labor as possible. Carried.
.The Police Committee recommended the appointment of
W. D. Gardner as City Marshal. Moved by Bird, seconded by
Murray, that W. D. Gardner be appointed City Marshal effective
May 1, 1928. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.

Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the Board
adjourn to Wednesday, May 2, 1928, at 7:30 o'clock P.M.
Carried.
