Trustees present- Bird, Cordingly, Fritz, Murray, Addis. Minutes of regular meeting of December 4, 1928, read and approved. Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the petition be granted. Carried. The Street Superintendent was instructed to notify him where to plant another tree. .Subordination Agreement of Union Trust Company, agreeing to the Deed issued by Albert Dalton and Wife to City of National City for land for street purposes,was read and ordered filed. RESOLUTION NO. 1364, Accepting Subordination Agreement executed by Union Trust Company dated Dec. 13, 1928, regarding Trust Deed of Enes Dalton in favor of Chester Gunn and Wife, was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. RESOLUTION NO. 1365, Establishing the grade of portions of P Avenue from 7th Street to 18th Street was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Murray, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. ;RESOLUTION NO. 1366, Accepting Deed of Leroy Cummings for land for street purposes on P Avenue was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. RESOLUTION NO. 1367, Accepting Deed of Francis Cummings for land for street purposes on P Avenue was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Bird, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. .Moved by Murray, seconded by Cordingly, that the proper officers draw a warrant in favor of Municipal Bond Company for under Butterfield Construction Cgmpanycontrac• $1,415.03 on the General Fund in payment of grading, etc✓✓ on school and city property. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. .The following bids received for the paving and other im- provement of portions of 1st Avenue between'14th'and 16th Streets were opened, examined and publicly declared: GRIFFITH COMPANY Portland Cement concrete pavement, per sq. ft $0.145 Sewer main, manhole and lamp holes, complete. $730.00 Sewer laterals, each $30.00 BEN PEARCE Portland Cement concretepavement, per sq. ft 13.6 cents Sewer main, manhole and lamp holes, complete$513.00 Sewer laterals, each $30.00 246. ,The following bids received for the paving of portions of 1st Avenue, West Avenue and 16th Street were opened, examined and publicly declared: GRIFFITH COMPANY Portland Cement concrete pavement, per sq. ft_ BEN PEARCE Portland Cement concrete pavement; per sq. ft ,A11 bids were referred to the City Engineer. ,$0.145 13.5 Cents ,Captain Cronan, member of the San Diego Board of Harbor Commissioners was present and gave an interesting talk upon the improvement of the San Diego harbor. ,Report of the City Engineer on bids for the paving and other improvement of portions of 1st Avenue between 14th and 16th Streets, recommending acceptance of bid of Ben Pearce, was read and ordered filed. .Report of the City Engineer on bids for paving of portions _of 1st Avenue, West Avenue and 16th Street, recommending acceptance of bid of Ben Pearce, was read and ordered filed. 'RESOLUTION OF AWARD NO. 1368, awarding contract to Ben Pearce for paving and other improvement of portions of 1st Avenue between 14th and 16th Streets was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Murray, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. <RESOLUTION OF AWARD N0. 1369, Awarding contract to Ben Pearce for paving portions of 1st Avenue, West Avenue and 16th Street, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Murray, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. '(RESOLUTION NO. 1370, Ordering the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for grading portions of P Avenue between 4th and 18th Streets, was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. <RESOLUTION N0. 1371, Approving and adopting plans and specifications for grading portions of P Avenue between 4th and 247. 18th Streets was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Murray, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. /Estimate of City Engineer of quantities for the grading of portions of P Avenue between 4th and 18th Streets was read and ordered filed. ✓,RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1372, for the grading of portions of P Avenue between 4th and 18th Streets was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Murray, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried., all Trustees present voting aye. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Murray, that the Board adjourn to Wednesday, January 2, 1929, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. Carried.
