Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to order
by the President. Trustees present- Addis, Cordingly, Fritz,
Murray. Trustee Bird late.
Minutes of regular meeting of February 7, 1928, read and
approved.

regarding trees upon streets was read and referred to the
Planning Commission.

Petition of Perry Cummings
trees was read and referred
to install three gasoline
storage tanks in the parking space at 21st Street and Highland
Avenue was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Cordingly, that
the petition be granted, work to be done under the supervision
of the Fire Chief. Carried.

,Petition of Mrs. J. Bellman to trim two trees at 1007
E. 16th Street was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis,
that the petition be granted. d`arried.
•Petition of property owners to close the Alley in Block
150 was read and referred to the Planning Commission.
,Communication from the Bush Theatres, Inc., asking for
thirty foot "no parking space" in front of National Theatre
was read and referred to the Street Department.
.Report of the Superintendent of Streets regarding tree
removed by H. W. Cottrell was read and ordered filed.
.Report of the Superintendent of Streets recommending
granting petition for parking space on National Avenue near
First Street for Sutherland Stage Company was read. Moved by
Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that'the report be accepted and
request for parking space be granted. Carried.
.Trustee Bird arrives.
ORDINANCE NO. 580, Amending Sections 2 and 4 of Ordinance
No. 540, fixing the salary of the City Clerk and City Treasurer
was placed on final passage and on motion by Cordingly, seconded
by Fritz, same adopted, all Trustees present voting aye.
ORDINANCE NO. 581, Amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 558,
fixing the salary of Superintendent of Streets was placed on
final passage, and on motion by Cordingly, seconded by Addis,
same adopted, all Trustees present voting aye.

ORDINANCE NO. 582, Repealing Ordinance No. 559 and Creating
a Planning Commission was placed on final passage, and on motion
by Bird, seconded by Addis, same adopted, all Trustees present
voting aye.
ORDINANCE N0. 583, Regulating restaurants, lunch counters,
cafes, etc. was placed on final passage and on motion by Cordingly,
seconded by Bird, same adopted by the following vote: Ayes,

Trustees Bird, Cordingly, Fritz, Murray. Noe, Trustee Addis.
.Bond of C. L. Crain, Master Plumber, was presented. Moved
by Fritz, seconded by Cordingly, that the Bond be approved,
accepted and ordered filed. Carried.
`.RESOLUTION NO. 1235,Authorizing cancellation of Bonds Nos.
3, 4, 5 and 6, Series F, not having been sold, was read. Moved
by Bird, seconded by Addis, that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
'Report of the City Engineer on bids for the grading and
other improvement of certain Avenues and Streets West of National
Avenue and South of 13th Street, recommending acceptance of the
bid of the Butterfield Construction Company was read and ordered
filed.
J RESOLUTION OF AWARD NO. 1236, for the grading and other
improvement of certain Avenues and Streets West of National Avenue
and South of 13th Street to Butterfield Construction Company,
was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the
Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
Moved by Bird, seconded by Addis, that the Board adjourn.
Carried.
