Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to order
by the President. Trustees present- Bird, Cordingly, Fritz,
Murray and Addis.
Minutes of regular meeting of October 16, 1928, read and
approved.

Moved by Bird, seconded by Murray, that the bills be allowed

and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
•Report of the City Marshal for month of October, 1928,
read and ordered filed.
.Communication from Kiwanis Club requesting permission to
erect a Christmas tree in City Park between Fire Hall and Library,
was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Murray, that the request be
granted, tree to be erected under the supervision of the Park Com-
mittee.
•Petition of Gustav Teufel to remove 7 palm trees at 608
24th Street was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Cordingly,
that the petition be denied. Carried.
.Petition of property owners to pave Alleys in Thelen's
Re -subdivision, Excelsior Place and Coombes Place, was read.
Moved by Bird, seconded by Murray, that the City Engineer be
instructed to prepare plans and specifications for the paving of
Alleys in Thelen's Re -subdivision, Excelsior Place and Coombes
Place. Carried.
.Communication from San Diego Union regarding advertisement
in the annual edition was read and referred to the Finance Committee.
Communication from H. A. Barnes regarding street signs, etc.
was read and ordered filed.
•Report of the Recorder for month of October, 1928, was
read and ordered filed.
'RESOLUTION NO. 1347, Directing City Engineer to prepare
plans and specifications for paving and other improvement of
portions of First Avenue between 14th and 16th Streets was read.
Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
RESOLUTION NO. 1348, Approving plans and specifications
for paving and other improvement of portions of First Avenue
between 14th and 16th Streets was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded
by Murray, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.

✓,RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1349 for the paving and other
improvement of First Avenue between 14th and 16th Streets was read.
Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.

4,ES0LUTION NO. 1350, Authorizing/payment to Griffith Company
under contract dated April 30, 1928, for paving portions of Streets
and Avenues North of 10th Street and East of 1st Avenue, amounting
to $10,381.86, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Bird, that
the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
',RESOLUTION NO. 1351, Authorizing payment of bonded indebted-
ness due Nov. 1, 1928, amounting to $1,762.50, was read. Moved
by Bird, seconded by Murray, that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
.RESOLUTION NO. 1352, Approving plans and specifications
for paving portions of 18th Street from National Avenue to Eighth
Avenue, was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded by Bird, that the
Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
'.RESOLUTION NO. 1353_, Directing City Clerk to advertise
for bids for paving portions of 18th Street from National Avenue
to Eighth Avenue, was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz,
that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present
voting aye.
?RESOLUTION NO. 1354, Ordering the work of paving portions
of 2nd Street from Highland Avenue to Laurel Avenue, was read.
Moved by Murray, seconded by Bird, that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
"RESOLUTION NO. 1355, Creating office of 2nd Assistant
Traffic Policeman and Deputy Marshal and appointing Lloyd Lovell
as such, was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that
the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting
aye.
.Moved by Bird, seconded by Murray, that the City Attorney
secure a search of title from Title Company on L Avenue from 16th

to 26th Streets. Carried.
,Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that the City Attorney
prepare an Ordinance fixing salary of City Recorder at $150.00
per month. Carried.
Moved by Bird, seconded by Murray, that the Board adjourn.
