Trustees present --Bird, Cordingly, Fritz, Murray and Addis. Minutes of regular meeting of November 20, 1928, read and approved. .Clerk's certificate showing that no protest on improvement of 1st Avenue from 14th to 16th Streets had been filed, was read and ordered filed. RESOLUTION ordering work No. 1358, of paving and other im- provement of 1st Avenue from 14th to 16th Streets was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. .Communication from City Recorder, requesting that the Super- intendent of Streets be authorized to furnish stove and wood for courtroom was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Fritz, that the Superintendent of Streets be instructed to purchase a stove and some wood for the City Recorder's Court. Carried, all Trus- tees present voting aye. .Resignation of C. W. Reed as Traffic Officer, effective De- cember 1, 1928, was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Bird, that the resignation be accepted. Carried. ,RESOLUTION No. 1359, Approving plans, etc., for paving por- tions of 1st Avenue, West Avenue and 16th Street was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. RESOLUTION NO. 1360, Directing City Clerk to advertise for bids for paving portions of 1st Avenue, West Avenue and 16th Street was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Murray, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. ,Mr. Wm. Nellpott present regarding addition to building at 511 National Avenue. Same referred to Street Committee. The following bids received for the paving of portions of 239. 18th Street between 8th Avenue and National Avenue, and a por- tion of the intersection of F Vest -. Avenue and 18th Street with concrete pavement, were opened, examined and publicly de- clared and referred to the City Engineer: FLOYD-GRIMIES ENGINEERING & CONST. CO. Moved by Murray, seconded by Bird, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. -J,RESOLUTION NO. 1362, Confirming Superintendent of Streets Assessment No. 55, as modified by Resolution No. 1361, for the grading and other improvements of Streets and Avenues West of National Avenue and South of 13th Street was read. Moved by Murray, seconded by Bird that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye. ,Report of City Engineer on bids for paving portions of 18th Street from National Avenue to 8th Avenue and portion of the intersection of West Avenue with 18th Street, recommending the 240. acceptance of bid of Griffith Company was read and ordered filed. RESOLUTION OF AWARD NO. 1363, awarding the contract to Griffith Company for the paving of portions of 18th Street from National Avenue to 8th Avenue, and portion of the intersection of West Avenue with 18th Street was read. Moved by Bird, sec- onded by Murray, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting gye. Moved by Bird, seconded by Murray, that the Board adjourn.
