present voting aye.
,Petition of property owners to pave, by private contract,
portions of 24th Street and N Avenue, was
read. Moved by Bird,
seconded by Fritz, that the petition be granted, work to be done
under the supervision of the City Engineer and Superintendent of
Streets under the same plans and specifications used for the paving

of 24th Street and N Avenue. Carried.
.Petition of property owners to pave National Avenue
between Division Street and First Street with 51 inch asphalt
was read and referred to the City Engineer.
.Petition of R. L. Taber to show motion pictures in the
open on lot at the corner of 18th Street and 4th Avenue during
the week of August 21st to 28th, was read. Moved by Cordingly,
seconded by Addis, that the petition be granted. Carried.
,Petition of F. W. James to grade and curb, by private
contract, the southwest corner of National Avenue and 24th Street,
was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the petition
be granted; work to be done under the supervision of the City
Engineer and Superintendent of Streets. Carried.
List of property of the Street Department, Fire Department
and Park was presented and ordered returned for valuations.
•The Street Department reported that repairs had been made
on East 2nd Street.
,Moved by Bird, seconded by Addis, that the proper officials
draw a warrant in favor of F. W. James on the General Fund for
$40.00, being refund of deposit for removal of trees. Carried,
all Trustees present voting aye.
,Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Addis, that the Board of
Trustees refuse to accept the Deed of the Homeland Building Com-
pany for portion of 1st Street as a park. Carried.
.Petition of property owners to have P Avenue from 8th Street
to 18th Street graded to the official grade was read and referred
to the City Engineer.
,ORDINANCE NO. , an Ordinance prohibiting the sale
of merchandise, etc. and the obstruction of any street, alley
or sidewalk within the City, was read and laid over to the next
meeting.
RESOLUTION NO. 1154, Authorizing the payment of bonded indebt-
edness due August 15, 1927, amounting to $1500.00 was read.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that the Resolution be

adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
,RESOLUTION NO. 1155, Ordering the work of grading and other
improvement of Sanitarium Avenue and portions of 5th, 6th and 7th
Streets was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that the
Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
,The Trustees reported that they had met with the District
Attorney who promised to take steps to abate the nuisance at the
Rendering Plant on the waterfront.
Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis, that the Board adjourn.
Carried.
