be granted, work to be done under the supervision of the Superinten-
dent of Streets. Carried.
,The following bids received for purchase of the $60,000.00
worth of Paving Bonds, read:

FREEMAN, SMITH & CAMP CO. - Par plus accrued interest to date
of delivery plus a premium of $1217.40.
ANGLO LONDON PARIS COMPANY - Par and accrued interest to date
of delivery, plus a premium of $816.00.
RUSSELL SUTHERLIN & CO. - Par and accrued interest to date of
delivery, plus a Premium of $1,081.70.
THE FIRST NATIONAL BANK - Par and accrued interest and a
premium of $905.83.
SAN DIEGO TRUST & SAVINGS BANK - Par, accrued interest to date
of delivery, and a premium of $101.00.
BANK OF ITALY NATIONAL TRUST & SAVINGd ASS'N. - Par plus
accrued interest to date of delivery, and a premium of $2,788.00.
:RESOLUTION NO. 1103, Accepting bid of Bank of Italy
National Trust & Savings Amen. for $60,000.00 worth of Paving
Bonds authorized by Special Election held Dec. 6, 1926, was
read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that the Resolution
be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
.Communication from L. S. Everts & Company regarding
audit of the books was read and ordered filed.
.Communication from S. S. Former regarding condition
of gutter at 228-236 W. 9th Street was read and ordered filed
and referred to the Street Department.
.Petition of D. S. Mytinger to place a pop corn and peanut
wagon in street at 815 National Avenue was read. Moved by Bird,
seconded by Cordingly, that the petition be denied. Carried.
,Petition of E. H. Decelles to install a gasoline pump
at 2239 7th Avenue was read. Moved by Addis, seconded by
Bird, that the petition be granted, work to be done under the
supervision of the Fire Chief. Carried.
,Petition pf P. T. Mizony, Postmaster, to erect letter
collection boxes at certain points in the City was read. Moved
by Bird, seconded by Fritz, that the petition be granted. Carried.

,Petition of citizens requesting that the electric wiring
Ordinance be modified was read and referred to the Board as a
whole.
.The City Engineer recommended that the paving of the
Alley in Fleming's Subdivision be included with the paving of
5th Street, also stating that the City did not have deeds to
all of 20th Street from Highland Avenue to L Avenue.
,The Police Committee recommended the appointment of A. H.
Alley and C. E. Hoover as Deputy City Marshals without pay.
Moved by Addis, seconded by Bird, that A. H. Alley and C. E.
Hoover be appointed Deputy City Marshals without pay. Carried.
,Moved by Bird, seconded by Addis, that Geo. Cary be given
permission to move gasoline pump across street on 7th Avenue,
work to be done under the supervision of the Fire Chief. Carried.
.The Finance Committee reported that they would recommend
increase in salary of the City Engineer when it could be shown
that more work could be accomplished.
.Moved by Addis, seconded by Bird, that the report be
accepted. Carried.
,The Fire Committee reported they were in need of 250
feet of 21 inch fire hose. Moved by Addis, seconded by Fritz,
that the Fire Department be authorized to purchase 250 feet of
21 inch fire hose. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
✓'RESOLUTION NO. 1104, Adopting Plat of District for the
improvement of portions of D Avenue and 18th Street was read.
Moved by Addis, seconded by Bird, that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
✓.RESOLUTION NO. 1105 OF INTENTION to improve portions of
D Avenue and 18th Street was read. Moved by Bird, seconded by
Addis, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
J RESOLUTION NO. 1106, Establishing the grade of Lanoitan
Avenue from the Southerly line of 18th Street to the Northerly

line of 24th Street was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded
by Bird, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
;RESOLUTION No. 1107, Authorizing Payment of Bonded Indebt-
edness due March 15, 1927, amounting to $3,660.00, was read.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that the Resolution be
adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
,Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that the sum of
$123.59 be transferred from the General Fund to Sinking Fund
No. 2 and that the proper officers be instructed to make the
necessary entries upon their records. Carried.
".RESOLUTION NO. 1108, Appointing Deputy City Assessor
was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that the
Resolution be adopted. Cartied, all Trustees present voting
aye.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that the Board
adjourn. Carried.
