Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to order
by the President. Trustees present- Addis, Cordingly, Fritz
and Murray. Trustee Bird absent.
Minutes of regular meeting of May 3, 1927, read.and
approved.
The following bills, audited by a majority of the Finance
Committee, presented:

Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that the bills be allowed
and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
,Mr. Lewis May was present and requested that a Police
Officer be installed on Highland Avenue. Same was referred to
the Police Department.
,Protest against the paving of Highland Avenue was read
and ordered filed.
.The following bids received for the paving of portions of
Sixteenth, Eighteenth, Twenty-fourth
read:

,Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Addis, that the bids be
referred to the City Engineer. Carried.
.Petition of property owners on First Avenue requesting
that sewer mains be installed before the paving of said Avenue
was read and ordered filed.
• Application of W. 0. Bird for position of Inspector of
paving was read and ordered filed.
. Petition of property owners on Highland Avenue requesting
that Zoning Ordinance be rescinded or revoked in so far as same -
applies to Highland Avenue between Second and Eighth Streets
was read and referred to the Planning Commisssion.
.The Police Committee recommended the appointment of Matthias
Taylor as Deputy City Marshal without pay. Moved by Addis,
seconded by Fritz, that Matthias Taylor be appointed Deputy City
Marshal without pay. Carried.
, Report of the City Engineer on bids for paving of portions
of Sixteenth, Eighteenth, Twenty-fourth Streets and N Avenue,
and recommending the acceptance of the bid of Ben Pearce was
read.
RESOLUTION OF AWARD NO. 1128, Awarding the contract to
Ben Pearce for paving of portions of Sixteenth, Eighteenth, Twenty-
fourth Streets and N Avenue was read. Moved by Fritz, seconded
by Addis, that the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
'RESOLUTION NO. 1129, Authorizing the payment of bonded in-
debtedness due May 1, 1927, amounting to $300.00 was read. Moved
by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trusteespresent voting aye.
,'RESOLUTION NO. 1130, Approying and adopting the plans, etc.
for paving portions of Sixth and Fifth Streets was read. Moved
by Cordingly, seconded by Addis, that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
;RESOLUTION NO. 1131, Directing the City Clerk to advertise
for bids for paving portions of Sixth and Fifth Streets was read.

Moved by Fritz, seconded by Addis, that the Resolution be
adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
;RESOLUTION N0. 1132, Approving and adopting the plans,
etc. for paving portion of First Avenue was read. Moved by
Cordingly, seconded by Addis, that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
;RESOLUTION N0. 1133, Directing the City Clerk to advertise
for bids for paving portion of First Avenue was read. Moved
by Addis, seconded by Fritz, that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
;RESOLUTION N0. 1134, Establishing the grade on portions
of Sanitarium Avenue, Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Streets was read.
Moved by Fritz, seconded by Cordingly, that the Resolution be
adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
.Bond of C. P. Hille as Sidewalk Builder was presented.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that the Bond be approved,
accepted and ordered filed. Carried.
.Deeds from First Trust & Savings Bank of San Diego, also
from Norman J. Ferguson, et al, for lands for street purposes
were presented and referred to the City Attorney and City
Engineer.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Fritz, that the Board
adjourn. Carried.
