Regular meeting of the Board of Trustees called to order
by the President. Trustees present- Addis, Cordingly, Murray.
Trustee Fritz absent and Trustee Bird late.
Minutes of regular meeting of November 1, 1927, read and
approved.
The following bills, audited by a majority of the Finance
Committee, presented:

Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Addis, that the bills be allowed
and warrants ordered drawn for the same. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
.It now being the time set for the continuation of the hearing
of the appeal from the warrant, assessment and diagram for the paving
of portions of Sixth Street, A and K Avenues, same was taken dp and
concluded.
-RESOLUTION NO. 1191, Sustaining appeal and correcting assessment
for the paving and other improvement of portions of Sixth Street, A
and K Avenues was read. Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Addis, that

the Resolution be adopted. Carried, all Trustees present voting
aye.
,It now being the time set for the hearing of appeals from
the warrant, assessment and diagram for the improvement of portions
of Twelfth, Thirteenth, Fifteenth Streets, Highland, I and J Avenues,
same was taken up and concluded.
}RESOLUTION NO. 1192, Sustaining appeals and correcting assess-
ment for the improvement of portions of Twelfth, Thirteenth, Fif-
teenth Streets, Highland, I and J Avenues, was read. Moved by
Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the Resolution be adopted.
Carried, all Trustees present voting aye.
.Protest of property owners in Block 51 against accepting
the work of paving done on the West side of First Avenue between
Thirteenth and Fourteenth Streets was read and ordered filed.
.Moved by Bird, sedonded by Cordingly, that the Street
Superintendent be requested to carefully determine that the
paving on First Avenue has been done strictly in accordance with
the contract and the plans and specifications therefor before he
accepts the same. Carried.
.Petition of H. M. Cottrell accompanied by a deposit of $5.00
for the removal of one tree at 2913 E. Eighth Street was read.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that the petition be granted.
Carried.
.Petition of property owners regarding drainage at Second
Avenue between Tenth and Eleventh Streets was read and referred
to the Superintendent of Streets.
-Petition of L. E. C. Smith to install gasoline tanks between
the sidewalk and curb line at Eighteenth Street and P Avenue was
read. Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the petition be
granted. Carried.
-Communication from the Secretary of the Congregational Brother-
hood regarding the formation of a public forum or mans' club was
read and ordered filed.
,ORDINANCE NO. , An Ordinance amending Section 7 of
129.
Ordinance No. 540, increasing the salary of the City Attorney
$50.00 per month was read and laid over.
ORDINANCE NO. , An Ordinance amending Section 9
of Ordinance No. 540, increasing the salary of the City Engineer
$50.00 per month was read and laid over.
'Bond of T. P. Millburn, Master Plumber, was presented.
Moved by Cordingly, seconded by Bird, that the Bond be approved,
accepted and ordered filed. Carried.
iMoved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the President
of the Board appoint a Committee to confer with William Rumsey
regarding the releasing to the County of the right to construct
a sewer through portion of National City. Carried.
.The President of the Board appointed Trustee Cordingly as
Committee for same.
Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the City Clerk
be instructed to purchase four filing cases from the Metal Office
Equipment Company at a cost of $272.00. Carried, all Trustees
present voting aye.
Moved by Bird, seconded by Cordingly, that the Board adjourn.
Carried.
